I love my Trouble Makers because they have tons of pop, and they stay that way. They are just alive on the hill (if you don't understand what I'm talking about, the Head Mad Trix are the complete opposite.) I want new skis next year, and I am naturally leaning towards Dynastar (Big Troubles.) But I don't want to limit myself. How are other brands in terms of liveliness (e.g. Armada AR5s and ARVs, Scratch BCs, etc.)?

Lively as in, they noodle around ever corner and skate all over the place at high speed? Hmm you're right, completely different to mad trix ;) Some people would think a ski that digs into the snow and holds big carving high speed turns to be a lively ski, others prefer your type of ski, its a matter of preference, but if you want a noodle, i hear the 03/04 Scratches are your choice. Other than that Ar5's are inbetween, tending noodle.

TMs are a super nice when u lst get them but after a while they soft up a shit load, mainly in the tails

the bcs i demoed were pretty dead

i've ridden msps and found them to be dead as hell. haven't ridden the stls, so can't give any thoughts there, but the msps felt awful. just my opinion...

the only 4frnt i have seen, were broken and had destroyed edges. But my ar5s seem to be a good choice.

most k2's and line's i've ridden are quite "lively"

this includes the pistols, new pe's, chronics, prophets (100 and 130), moships, even made'ns...

lots of skis out there that feel alive underfoot. you just need to demo some different ones and see what you like as "lively" to one person might seem "dead" to another.

I felt the same way comparing my troublemakers to a few runs on mad trix. From what I have ridden PE's come close to the TM's.

 
my 1260's are super poppy. so were motherships. so are my elizabeths. i think it's safe to say that line skis are really lively.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
