Live Suicide to be performed at cocnert

I guess if you don't believe in god, then commiting suicide is no big deal. Once again you are supposed to live your life, not end it because you're sick. Every life has value, it's ashame that people don't see it that way. So you are stuck in a bed and can't get out, but you can help out folks in the future by letting modern medicine work on you and make progress in finding cures for terminal illnesses. I will admit that I'm a tad shallow but nobody here can convince me that killing ones self no matter what the circumstances are, is best. Death should happen when it is supposed to not when you want it to.

Last time i checked, it does not say anywhere in the bible that VICTIMS of suicide go to hell. As you said yourself, they are victims of a disease, depression or the sort, and should be helped through it. i think the same goes for the terminally ill. It is a proven fact that alot of them are depressed and should receive professional help. I think suicide is wrong and should be avoided at all costs, but they DO NOT GO TO HELL.

^ I don't have a bible with me, so I can't quote it specifically, but it does state in the bible(the old testament)that your soul will be damned to hell if you kill somebody(and it doesn't say unless your at war either), take the innocense of a child(sexual abuse) and taking ones own life. There are no clauses or fine print stating unless of course a human doctor says your going to die then by all means take your own life. Before anybody gets their panties in a bind, let me say this I'm not an authority on the subject this is just my interpetation of what is said in the bible. someone else might read it and get a whole different meaning to it. Life is a privilege and can be snatched away at a moments notice so take advantage of every second. I try to laugh every day and always hug and hold and kiss my wife and kids everyday several times. Let the people you love know it cause you might lose out on the chance.

jibberkid, God will forgive you, but that doenst mean consequences wont occur. It would be ridiculous for God to not give consequences to those who sin.. They are part of the deterent to sinning, but he will still forgive you no matter what you do. It's not hypocrital if you take the time to learn about it in detail.

So in essence modern medicine can be keeping people alive just to attempt to treat them. As much as assisted suicide goes against 'God's' plans, so does keeping someone alive under severe conditions. The only way I could see you rationalize what you're saying is that the context of 'God's' plan involves the medical treatment keeping them alive, and that is a very convenient rationalization.
