Laker laying it down! Just got back from Canada last night and did 3 practice runs this morning, run 1&2 were his 4th and 5th runs through the course. damn impressive.
 
Goepper didn't plan on competing since he's already qualified for the Olympic team. Leave the podium for some others. Honestly, I don't know why any of the qualified athletes, Wise, Bowman, are competing, with xgames next week then Sochi.

I miss Sammy on the list. I don't think he's competing at Xgames either. He's probably out skiing some POW!
 
Agreed, I think he got docked hard for going too deep on that sw dub 10. Got a little too loose. Great run though.
 
Well that was just an amazing display of talent by everyone!! McRae's run though! Underscored much? Tom's got his work cut out for him tomorrow yikes!!

can't wait till vinny cash can put down a clean run, his first run was insane, frontflip blunt out the flat rail
 
oh and by the looks of it, it looks like tom's not going to the olympics, what's up with his run? He's been doing the same run for the past 2-3 years, it's clearly not going to be enough to even qualify for the olympics.

McRae got robbed I thought his run was better than Bobby's. I think the judges should loosen up a bit and should at least be able to see how difficult a trick is. Like when they didn't even really care about Hackles dub 7. They should care more about how difficult and mixed up a run is than how smooth their back to back dub 10s mutes are.
 
The announcers sucked, a lot. What is up with Tom? I thought he would be at the olympics for sure, but he isn't pushing himself at all. It would suck for him to have announced the North Face Olympic uniforms and not even qualify. Is Sammy even trying to go anymore? I saw him in a few videos of Olympic training camps but he isn't competing very much.

This. He has been skiing in comps all year like he already knows he'll be chosen for the team. I honestly don't know how the process works in terms of discretionary picks for slopestyle, but I'm willing to bet that someone told him he's a sure thing and he's just trying to make keep from getting injured.
 
Makes sense, I was thinking the same thing. The discretionary picks are confusing but I'd be willing to bet thats the case.
 
Dear announcer: the trick that ABM and Nicky Keefer did is called a double cork 900, not a double cork 1260. It's one of the best tricks out. You should learn what it is.

Did Vinnie Gagnier get robbed much on his first run? A score of 71 for doing tricks no one else can do?
