What was the biggest surprise for you this year dealing with skiing.

For me, it was High North shutting down.

At lest Momentum gets a few new lanes.

because im a skier and every skier loves POW.

IM stoked on backcountry just going out with your friends, ski what ever you want, no ski patrol to put a rope up infront of a sick feature, i just like going out with my boys building jumps hanging out in the mtns and cant wait to get back out to the mtns next year and push my skiing in the BC

yo sammy, if you could chill and ski with one person, doesnt even have to be a skiier, who would it be and why

so which one was your favorite photoshop of the tanner photo?

and who would win in a fight: iron man or batman?

what up sam. growing up skiing at meadows and shredding the super park on cascade in the spring when you are not traveling, how do you feel about the new gm at meadows and the new jump limitations with nothing over 45 ft.?
do you feel this might hurt the freestyle scene at meadows?

sorry if this was stated, i just got out of a final!

but anyways, what's the feeling among you and other riders on the new trend of park restrictions? RCR charged in and surprised many with their rulings, while there's been some talk in the forums about limitations at mt. hood. although the BC movement is strong, do you think these changes could have negative effects on the sport, and possibly start a new string on similar rules being implemented nation-wide?

keep up the good work sammy:)

what up dude

MASSIVE

everything MASSIVE, i was stoked to shred with tanner this year, hes super motivated and has a ton of energy so its sick to shred with him, theres no bull shit its all skiing.

ill have some pipe stuff and some POW.

but i got to give mad respect to him hes pushing our sport right now harder than any one, and making skiing look good!!!

You knw that movies going to be sick!

waddup sammy, to watch you talk about X and all the effort you put into it was horrible to see how it turned out. But coming back to win JOSS you probably had even more of a drive to win it.

so my question is, during the off season how do you train for the up coming winter? like do you have a workout routine? just ski on the glaciers? whats your tips on becoming a better skier in the off season?

thanks,

-Corey

i bet sammy thinks its better not to answer question that would piss his sponsors off if he answered them honestly, haha

sammy, you won joss.

you deserve a pro model and you need a longer segment, haha

So fun, we had a sick crew Tanner, sean and calum petit both killed it and every one up there was super cool so it was all fun and deep fluffy duff

what up dude

im kinda scared of your guys slopes over there to be honest haha, but maybe some day ill come out there but its sick im stoked you guys kill it on the dry slopes.

i call that like cab 5 high safety

Next year are you going to film more or enter more competitions. Also for you do you enjoy entering competitions, how do you cope with all stress that comes from entering a competition?

Hey Sammy whats going on? Im from the Uk and its 1;30 am over here! Just wondering if u skied with any UK pro riders or have heard of any of them and what your impressions are of them as riders?

You ever thought of coming to the UK to ski snowflex?

Congrats on JOSS by the way sick edit

Have a good summer and kill it next year dude

alright sorry im trying to keep up wihtall your questions but damnn your guys are going off so i might not get em all but if you guys got a question or just want to say what up message me sometime and ill hit you back someitme

but to your question dude,

thanks super stoked you like my edit

sometime i cant over come the sketchy feeling and ill pull out of a jib or a line or a jump, its all about feeling it

ha i dont knw but ive realized over the past couple years that in every interview i say stoked a ton! but thats becuase i am haha liek right now im goin to say it im stoked just had a good day at mammoth shit was fun as hell

Yeah, theyd probably want you pretty bad. Anyways I have to ask if you have seen the Tanner Hall photoshop thread in Ski Gabber, AKA "Some one needs to photoshop this" and if you have, what did you think of it?

oh ahaha, my bad, my question was directed at sammy but thanks anyways, when i rote bobby i was goona leave my signature but i kept on writing i guess but ya my names bobby too, tanks for answerin :)

hey sammy, your my favorite skier by far. a few years back you came to spokane wa for the War premier and i got a huge ass poster of you doin the tree stall and another of petey olenick and you both autographed it and wrote spring break 1999. that makes me laugh everytime i see it. keep killin it out there. oh and by the way watching you guys dominate schweitzer (home mt) at the pro shoot last year changed my life.

yeah dude i definetly want to get into pipe, this year i started to figure it out a little more it just always used to piss me off because i flat bottom and it hurts landing down there.

but for sure more pipe riding to come, alot more everything to come

Do you think that kids that really start skiing often at the age of say 18 still have a chance in the biz or is it a handicap for someone who was not pro when they were young guns?

ha what up pete your question earlier was funny.

yeah dude ill answer your question i think you knw what i think.

if i coudl go out all year long and shoot with one company and only compete at x games i would!!! BUt it doesnt work like that. sponsors want more from you because there paying you money. personally i think a video segment does a whole lot more for me than a comp result but some people think differently
