Welcome to the live chat with Sammy Carlson, who's here in Mammoth as part of the Jib Academy 2008 Finale. The Salomon team is here along with a ton of groms that just got finished slaying it on a private jump this morning.

The boys are still out shredding but will be here soon, so start the questions flowing and we'll get Sammy in here to answer them along with maybe some of of the other Salomon riders in attendance.

dope!

So sammy, what was going from an unsponsored kid to a sponsored kid a big change? did it 'live up' to your expectations and what you thought it would be like? Or was it mostly gradual before you were just getting free stuff left and right?

what is it like being able to ski practically everyday, seeing as how most people dont get to do so.

Thans for your time congrats at JOSS and keep up the sick stuff!

Your effort in JOSS was sickkkkk!

And seeing you in the movies from Jons videoblog is so fun, you're soo laidback and ALWAYS stoked :D

Hey Sammy. 2Q's. 1) What do you think are the best things about being a pro right now are?

2) How do you think the scene in Europe compares to that in North America

Thanks man, Well done at JOSS!!

what's it like to ski with eric pollard, someone who you've mentioned you admire very much, and what are we gunna see from you this coming fall on DVD that will have us all dropping our jaws?

oh and if "the dumont" is there wit you plz tell him im a huge fan and iv looked up to him evr since hes tourned pro

Yo Sammy. Just wondering what your opinion is on as far as progression goes while not taking yourself too seriously. We all want to progress and push ourselves, but you still have to remember your skiing and your doing it for fun. What sort of mentality do you have as far as progressing while not taking yourself too seriously and still enjoying yourself?

You have undoubtedly one of the biggest books of tricks in the game, but what's the one trick that you have always been chasing after?

Hey guys, whats up this is Bobby Brown, I am also here at jib academy, just ask me if you got any questions about the trip here at mammoth. So far its super sick!

Thats bobby Browns perogative, just playing, but Sammy congrats on JOSS win, its great that you kept going after X and didnt let that pull u down.

Bobby Brow, after watching video from awards at the North American Open do you feel you got the shaft that the impression i got from the crowd

This seems that people always have different opinions but............

Sammy, what is your opinion on double flips?

Are they the way too go or are they to much like aerials?

yo dude, breck its pretty dope, but mammoth is sooo sick. They have a good variety of everyything; big jumps, sick rails and a bunch of way sick medium jumps... and the weather is also so nice out here... you ever ski the stone?? but yeah i did go to the keystone super park, soo fun!

btw i am sittin next to seanyJ and Cody ling

windells and momentum both said you are coaching there on freeskier updates. which one is it?

yo everybody, jose hathaway, and i are posted up here at mammoth next to bobby and sammy. feel free to ask any questions.

Just want to say you're my favourite skier sam, probably one of my biggest inspirations. Keep pushing the sport man, youre doing it the right way. skiing hard, playing hard. Hero.

Bobby I ski/board keystone all the time..Me and my friend matt D(used to be on team summit with you) ski together every time..We go to Smoky Hill BTW, next to creek

Sammy! Congrats on the JOSS win!

It would be really nice if you came and visited upstate NY to shred.

Any new double flips?
