Live Chat / Q&A with Line, Tom Wallisch & More! - 5PM EST Friday Nov 14th!

Is it true that the Dan Brown's have kissed before?

Jack Borland - I hear you have an older brother who is a pro rollerblader, is that true?

1. I recently sent you an SASE and was hoping you could give me something from Tom Wallisch? like a sticker, signed gloves or something cool. He is the reason why i started freestyle skiing and is my number 1 favourite skier to watch.

2. will big T be on the traveling circus? that would be like a pizza cake!

3. will big T ever ride the circus skis?

4. how old was Big Y

Is it true you're sponsored by the devil?

"Sponsored" is a loose term. More of a supporter of LaVeyan Satanism, who flows me some goat blood and virgins a few times a year.

wallisch what's a big trick you're looking to stomp this year?

Also, are you planning on doing all the comps this year? I'd be pretty stoked to see some videos of you just lapping some parks

For Josh, why did Dan Brown not want to ski at Powder Week last year? Would you consider bringing Pollard, Wallisch, Andy, Will, and LJ to Big Sky this year? How many skis will get destroyed in Montana?

For Dan, Why did I leave you at Jay Peak six years ago?

For Tom, What's AJ doing right now? Just kidding. I know. He's drinking.

For Andy, Will, LJ, should we make Wild Stallions 2? Do people like sequels? Maybe go back to that shitty amusement park in Lake George?

//end bad journalism questions//

LJ: when will paragliding and your surfing be combined?

Andy: when on your will you shower in order to make the rest of the vans ride be easier?

Garret: what do you like better about the US better than the far south when it comes to skiing?

Tommy Walnuts: what is the circumference of a moose?

I combined it a while ago filming for this:

Tom: What flex tongue do you use and how tight do you buckle your boot? like really tight or loose, also do you do the strap first of last, and how tight? Thanks, smash it this season!

You tighten all the buckles as much as you comfortably can. This is essential to being a good skier........

I get a stiff flex tongue and keep my straps nice and loose. It's probably not recommended, but whatever works for you is essential to being a good skier.

but do you ride pow/bc with loose boots? im no expert, but it seems logical that the tighter you buckle your boots, the better power transfer you get from body/feet to skis.

i feel you though. in the end, just do what works for you.

Andy: In the past couple of years you have brought a ton of creativity to skiing. That being said, what goals do you have this season?

Shane: All of NS knows that you shred some serious gnar, we all loved the episode of comptons weak were you skied. What lead you to choose filming over being one of the skiers?

I would maybe tighten them up a little bit for a good powder day. I think I agree with your reasoning, but loose buckles gives you (me) a little more room to work with your ankles which makes it easier to be a little more snappy. If this is better or worse adding all factors I don't know. I just never tightened my boots from when I was a kid. But I do feel it gives me advantages - specially with rail tricks and jibs. But yeah - whatever works!

This thread is awesome.

Sig will we ever see a dub 10 out of you again? You had the sickest axis on those

Vivian (sig): trashparty or level1? widescreen or 4:3? kuske or wiberg? tinder or insta?

How much swagpoints does your hair have (scale of 4 to 20)?

Filming is what I grew up with. Making edits with your friends is absolutely my favorite thing to do in skiing. Competitions just started happening for me and became a huge part of my season.

I'm really looking forward to getting back to the basics and making more edits and filming more this season and in the years to come!

Eric: Any big plans for Nimbus this year?

We are working toward 4 productions for Nimbus, and a handful more for other clients. For Nimbus we are working on a two year movie titled "After The Sky Falls", we will release the movie in fall 2015. We are also creating a few “tv format” shows much like some of our first En Route movies that show a full ski trip. We will be releasing part two of our Go Pro only movie "Coordinates 2.0" fall 2015.

POLLARD: Is there going to be an On Top of the Hood Pt. 2? I know you guys were up there early summer. It's one of my favorite movies to date.

I think that may happen one day, but not this year. Sammy is working on another movie, so stay tuned for that one.

Pollard: Are there plans to bring back the Nimbus video format from the beginning? I love everything that you guys put out, but there's something about creating an all-encompassing piece that seems to have so much more heart than individual web features. I've watched Contrast, Hunting Yeti, and Idea so many times, I'd love to see a feature like that return.

Yes. That is exactly what our goal is with "After The Sky Falls". At the same time, we want to continue to release free online edits, so that is why we have so many productions going right now.

Eric: What are your favorite shredding spots in Japan?

I'm pretty sure anywhere is good in Japan. My favorite spot is Niseko. It’s amazing little town on the snowy island of Hokkaido.

Do you enjoy watching the TC episodes and how do you feel about them? Do you affiliate with those guys at all? (Meaning talk to them for conference calls, product info, stuff like that) Will we see you in a TC episode ever?

Maybe like a Nimbus TC collab edit

Yes, I like the TC guys, but we don't talk that often, only because we only ever see one another in the summer up on Mt. Hood. They're doing a great job, super relatable, fun, and creative. In that way, I feel we have some very similar goals, so maybe one day I will do a trip with them.
