Little things in life

Lets make this a positive thread! What are the little things in life that you love.
couple of mine: finding unexpected money in clothes, the extra fries at the bottom of the bag, and thinking of someone then getting a text or call from them.
hopefully this thread will go somewhere and sorry if it is a repost.

Money in the pocket is the best, same with finding gum in a pocket or in my backpack, so stoked on that.

i fucking appreciate snow. i just had a taxi driver from tunsia, and we just talked about winter. how do people live in canada and not appreciate winter? snowflakes, snow, skiing, snowboarding, snowmen, snowballs, forts, and shiiiiit. whatever is your schtick. i don't get the hate. this shit is utterly beautiful.

My dog being happy to see me when I come home, watching snow fall while I'm laying in bed, eating something I really like but haven't had in a while, getting a phone call from my best friend (who is in Europe right now, so I don't get to hear from her that often), hitting all the street lights on green, finding something I lost a long time ago, getting a "love you" from someone, bluebird powder days, waking up and realizing I can still sleep for another hour.

And lots of other things.

When I wake up late on a school morning and my mom is feeding the birds for me, and when I come home from anywhere and my dog is just ridiculously excited to see me.

texts or e-mails from somebody you miss or are into are awesome.
bank account after payday.
hitting all green lights on a frequently traveled route where you almost never hit all greens.
waking up and looking at the clock and realizing you have a lot more time to sleep
finding a new song that you really enjoy

^just coming to your phone and seeing a text from that someone can really be a day danger...as mundane as it seems

Waking up and someone has already made coffee for you.

Crawling into bed with a hot water bottle after a long day of skiing

Getting mail that isn't a bill or bank bank statement

Going for a walk

Getting my back scratched

I love driving a long distance on the highway by myself when the sun's setting, while blasting good music. It gives me such a natural high. I know it's an oddly specific situation haha.

Being in your bed during a massive rain storm.

Getting that look from a random chick on the street.

Getting cheered from the lift.

Knowing that all you have left to do that day is smoke a bowl and watch a movie.

Having her put the lotion in the basket the first time you ask.

Polite and correct drivers, like early turns signals so you know you can turn in front of someone.

When my cat meows as I'm walking down the steps to the front door, as if jinx cat is giving me a little hello good sir.

Good beer after a shitty day of work.

Hanging in the garage and getting shitty with some friends while somebody is wrenching on a car. You're not really involved but everybody feels like they're doing something constructive cause one guy is changing his oil or exhaust or something. aaahhhh man time

Sitting on the side of a creek just after dawn, c'moooooon trout season.

a really good-fitting pair of socks.

drinking water from a freshwater spring in winter when there's ice and snow on the stream--doesn't get much more refreshing!

getting complimented for something, especially when the complimenter has no real reason to.

getting an unexpected postcard from someone who's somewhere you've never heard of before.

drawing something and having it turn out far better than you expected because you didn't start off very well.

finding a random book at the bookstore that turns out to be a really really good read.

driving in the car, jammin to music, drumming on the dashboard and the 2-year-broken speedometer light turns back on!

I think the little things are far more important.....

oo and throwing rocks at stuff with some homies

and the sound of snow sliding off the roof even though it scares the shit out of you at first

doing little home improvement jobs like fixing drywall and door hinges/frames

picking up a super chill hitchhiker

hosing all the mud off the bike after a really good ride

losing your cellphone/wallet/(insert important object) and then being a lucky pig and finding/getting it back
last week i dropped my cellphone while skiing, ended up stressing a shitload, i called it several times but no one answered it, then a day later suddenly one of my friends gets a call from a catdriver who has found it while grooming the run :)
also, salt potato chips + chocolate mil = orgazzmik !

I love it when my favorite person calls me to wake me up in the morning instead of waking up to my alarm.

my friend lost his ipod touch and had no idea where it was. after months had gone by, at the end of last school year when he was cleaning out his locker he found it in a sock that was in his locker hahahah

its pretty simple... some people would rather roll outta bed, through on a tshirt and some shorts and get outside in the beautiful sun rather than get bundled to shit only to walk into a giant puddle of slush and spend the next 10 hours cold and miserable in the gloomy winter sky.

No shit I would not lie, I lost my wallet off the back of my truck after pumping gas. My best friend pulled over later in the morning to pick up a wallet he saw on the side of the road. Bam my best friend randomly found my wallet on the side of the road hahaha, too fuckin weird.

Sometimes I swear I could fall in a pile of shit and come out smelling like roses.

professors rants and funny quotesthat look you give and get from people when you walk by each other, kind of like saying hello with your eyes

my favorite song coming on shuffle at a good time. high fives. my brother calling me just to say "i miss you"

putting on a shirt fresh out of the dryer
having someone randomly introduce themselves to you
when you get to the top of the lift, and your favorite song comes on just to pump you up for the run down
when you order food, and they give you just a little more than you expected
