Little noobs in the park

dont you hate the little kids that ride in the park

on such a good day and they ruin all the features

and dig out the landings of the boxes and shit?

i do. i want to punch them in the fat head.

well start by not riding in the park and as you get better you can ride the park. dont learn to ride in the park

yo if they are little and in the park that is a good thing. that means that freeskiing is getting more popular with the youngins and they arnt all just turning to snowboarding to be cool

i agree that kids learning how to ski park on the big features and rewining them is anoying but i think its a great thing that there are more and more little kids getting into park. this is why mountains should have small parks for kids to learn stuff and get better. but i also hate the people who hate little kids in the park just casue they are better then they are and are willing to do the hard rails and hit the big jumps

If you'd watch for awhile you'll notice its the 180 lb gapers from the city, not the little kiddies.

what pisses me off is when there is a beginner park and they don't go there. They want to be a "core" rider and hit up the "big" park right away and ruin the take-offs and landings there. thats what pisses me off.

i think its dope when little kids are in the park like tryin boxes and 360s but they should learn how to actually ride and ski well first. and its annoying but kinda funny when they speed check so much that they dont even make it up to the lip

I find its not so much the little kids that wreck the features, but more the parents that are in there with them.

as long as features dont get ruined i think its fine, but sometimes it ends up that theres like 50 people in the park not for the park and there going everywhere, going off the jumps sideways, i hate it when do that fir rails and boxes, and dumb stuff like standing in the landings and overall using no common sense

noobs need love too. you gotta take em under your wing...or at least give them a crash course in park etiquette.

argh i hate them. They think theyre so cool, some of them have pink mohawks attached to their helmets. theres like 30 of them whos parents sign them up for racing courses but they just go to the park and roll up everything, flop around on the takeoffs and the fall over the sides. But then again, at least they're trying the stuff, although they never make it onto anything

i feel your pain, we have two beginner parks at my home mtn and there still are tons of people who shouldn't be in the main park...we all remember the lawsuit at the summit at snoqualmie right?? that's where i ride.

what planet do you live on? no one thinks about being "core" when they are ten. They're just trying to have some fun.

Also, people don't seem to understand that they're own skis track out landings just as badly as everyone elses.

these threads are useless.

word. to the thread creator, if you dont like it hike and build or get out of the kids park.

the kids arent heavy enough to dig out the landings, its the random parents and fat snowboarders that do it

ture

i donno what a park warden is...but i ski loon, and they have a little park, but i find most people dont know its there. so if i see lil kids in the park, or ont he gondola i tell them and their parents, and 90% of the time i get the same response "o really i didnt know there was a park here with little jumps, we will have to check that out next run!" and there were these kids, prolly like 9 with their dad waiting to drop into the pipe but they didnt know thye had to call their drop, and it was a busy day, so i told them how...im like just yell loud that you are dropping in and they will let you go...and the dad was like o thank you we had no idea. its just that most people dont know, and if you explain it to them instead of getting mad then it will happen less.

the thing that i cant stand are the lil kids that go off the side of lips onpt features, i always talk to them, but most the time they dont listen and the parents are like why.....and lil snowboarders do it to to think they are cool. but if its anything else the paretns are ussually pretty receptive.

you can learn to ride on the mountain but you have to learn to ride park in the park, this is why we have parkpasses and noob parks

think about it from there point of view though.

if you were a little kid how cool would you feel by hitting the "big boy features" and then going to kindergarden and bragging (CLAIMERS) to all his friends that he went in the awsome snowboard park! and hit all the big boy features

and then hed grow older and become more comfortable hitting bigger and bigger stuff.

wait 5-10 years you'll see what im talking about

true, i dont mind it really. but when its the group of gaper kids and parents that think it will be fun to "take a run in the terrain park" and they end up rollin over everything they see, thats what pisses me off.

haha you have to pay to get into our park, and those kids are still in there and cant do shittt. but its still mass

yeah we track it out. but we land on skiis not our asses and put a fucking crater in the ground like the little kids do.

i hate when little kids use the park as another run for them......Like one time i was going off a jump and right when i went off i saw a little kid right where i was going to land and i barely missed her and i crashed hardcore

so are you mad that you can't clear the jumps and you case on the same spot as the little kids and land in their ruts?

because if they;'re as bad as you say they are, they're not hitting tranny

sometimes i dont clear the jumps, so wats wrong with that, but when they hit a box and fall on the landing they fucking ruin it with their board skiis wat ever.

I've concluded in my studies that you are a bitch who shouldn't be ragging on little kids for your lack of talent. Any good skier knows that theres always going to be ruts on any terrain readily available to little kiddies who don't exactly know what they're doing. And learn to spell mang.

pedophile!! haha just kidding man. that would be sick to 180 over some kid haha.

I really dont mind little kids in the park, its fun to watch them go off of the jumps and eat shit. When you hit the jump afterwords they always come up and give you mad props too so i dont see why its so bad. and the ruts are really not that bad. if you cant land in a small rut then, im sorry, but maybe you should ski all mountain more and learn to ski in shitty snow. The only ruts that are bad are ones that are like 6 inches deep, and usually those come from people (who are actually making the landing) eating shit. chances are that was some kid trying a new trick and landed wrong, and his ski dug into the jump. The park staff should be fixing it, its not the little kids fault.

plus, as somebody else said, most of the kids fall before the landing so if you land there, the rut is the least of your worries. If its a real problem for you take a run and try to smooth out some of the ruts. peole wont mind waiting, and i go through with the park staff sometimes to help them (i know the head of the park and ski with him sometimes).

I've noticed they don't really ruin features. They just cut you off all the time. The thing that really ruins feature is the sun. Of course if you have a bad park crew it would kinda suck all around I guess. I don't really mind little ruts but the sun can melt giant ones were its impossible to land and other way but perfectly straight, wich rarely happens

yeah seriosly there should be a skill ability entrance admitance, i hate little kids and their dumbass parents who come into my park... like they have 100 other trails but you have to choose the one where i could land and kil lyour 4 year old dumbass kid.

yea there should be....if insurance companys gave insentives for lower raes if mts had like psa's about skiing rules in gernal they might. like my mtn has tvs all over the lodges and htey play thier own station but they show footage from past events which is great, but they should also have vids of the park crew being like this is the jump, this is where people start adn this is where they land, dont stand in the landing, dont stadn on the top of the jump to get a better signal for your cell phone, and dont cut acorss where people are coming into the jump, and then like who them how to go around a jump safly. and like o dont let your kdis go off the sides of features we spend alot of time maintaing these, if you want to hit a small jump try heading over to the learn to ride park on the little sister trail......ya know? then people will know, and the kids will see it too! maybe i can get the park crew at loon to do that this year!
