so yesterday around 4:30 a little girl who was 5 years old got killed by a 55 year old drunk driver. why the fuck was he driving drunk at 4:30 in the afternoon. she did nothing wrong at all and gets killed by some dumb fuck she was an awesome 5 year old, she was always at the ski hill and always had a smile on her face even when she was eating shed still be the happiest kid there , she would always try and steal my chips! but i didnt care she was a little 5 year old kid, she was a crazy skier too, anyways thats it im out

I do believe it's a 20 year maximum. Nothing is 50 years in Canada, even murder one will only give you a 25 year life sentence. He could also be convicted on peripheral charges, however.

The DWI charge alone will put him in jail, but since he killed the girl it will also be vehicular manslaughter not vehicular homicide. Although homicide is the unlawful taking of a life, it does not apply to this situation since he was in a car, hence the law for vehicular manslaughter. Vehicular manslaughter falls under the category for involuntary manslaughter and because he was under the influence they consider it an accident and not a malice murder. Either way he will rott and die in a cell.

I knew some one who was hit by a drunk driver, he was about 17. Had lived more of his life that that poor little girl, but drunk driving is not cool. We all joke about it, but the stories really catch up with you. Hopefully it was painless. Best wishes to the family.
