I never really ride the chair... I probably rode the lift maybe 40 times this year.. We have a tow rope in our park so I just hike to the park. But every time I do ride the lift, I say thanks, unless it was a real shitty push.
If I'm lapping one chair all day I'll strike up convos with my lifts and such. I've made some chill bros to ski with when they're off and I've been bailed out of one or two situations as well
What's this "push" you guys are talking about? I always strike a conversation, especially at grouse cause the lifties are all so sick. And I've made a couple friends to chill and lap the park with too
i only say thank you sarcasticly. my mountains lifties are assholes, they dont take their job seriously, and they let the chair hit the back of everyones legs everytime. they kinda just touch the chair
Im gonna be honest, i only say thanks if its a sketchy lift or a J or T bar. or if i know the lifty. or if i super duper stoked. otherwise, not really.
same here, at least as far as the lifties in the UP go. i swear to god they look at me and my friends like, "goddamn troublemakers" even though we act like the nicest ppl on the mountain.
