So I have a shitty jeep cherokee, basically, it runs and has 4 wheel drive
Anyway, here is what is wrong with it.....
Trunk doesn't openLocks on the car don't work, AKA you can't lock itWindows only work from the driver's doorSome dentsPretty bald tiresOverheatsSome rusting193,000 Miles

What is good about it?
New air conditioning, still with warrantyNew interstate battery (I know right?!!?!?)4 Wheel Drive (in Tahoe, where everyone want a 4x4)transmission is solid

My question is, how much could I sell it for? or Could I even sell it? I live in Incline Village Nevada
 
what is it with jeeps and non-working windows? 3 of my friends have cherokee's and none of them work.
 
The best way is a combination of what KBB says, as well as what similar cars are going for in your local CraigsList/Autotrader listings. If you con't find a lot local, go to farther Craigslist/Autotrader distances just to find similar cars to get price ideas.
 
Well, KBB quote's 2300ish, but I honestly can't see someone buying it for that much, but I mean, I should list it for more than its worth?
 
Is that the lowest KBB rating? I would start somewhere around there. Still try and see what other Cherokees around that year are going for, then fit yours in. What year btw?
 
Its tahoe, i bet in the spring or summer you could get 2 grand for it, maybe 2500 pretty easly. simple 4x4's get bought up real quick in them snowy mountains.
 
I've been looking for a cherokee sport for like 6 months now. And based on what you've said, I wouldn't pay over 1500. 190,000 isn't THAT bad on the 4.0L i6 engines, but that depends on how it was maintained. You said it overheats, which is something I don't want to deal with when buying a car. Also, the tires are nearly bald, which means another couple hundred in repairs once purchased. The lack of locks and working windows is something I don't mind, since that doesn't really affect the performance. As for someone saying you could get 6k for parting it out... I disagree heavily. I'd say find out what it would cost to fix the major mechanical issues, then subtract that from the KBB value, and thats pretty much the worth of the vehicle. You can of course price it according to your wants after that. Hope this has been some help man, and sorry it wasn't better news.
 
A lot less than I could sell my year older toyota truck for ;)

But really, I'd start high, like 2 grand or so. They're gonna beat ya up over price a bit anyway. I mean it's a jeep, but I'd hope you can get at least 1500 for it.
