List of Things to Tell my Parrents When Trying To Convince Them To Let Me Buy Jiberish?

So I want to buy some Jiberish, But my parents confront me with the question of why buy a hoodie just because it has cool abstract designs and a sick fit for 80+ dollars? I know some of their hoodies are cut and sew witch lasts longer, and have to zipper that comes up higher like a jacket. But is it like Semi Water Proof and Wind resistant? Like the Line Static hoodie? Because if it is just cotton it would get soaked if you took a gnarly fall into some deep powder. So what Is Jiberish's Material i guess is what i am asking and what are the cons that makes it good for skiing?

I dont know how involved your parents are with the ski industry and your skiing, but bring up the fact that you would be supporting a relatively small company that would be supporting the people that love the sport just as much as you do. Its not just any hoodie, its a high quality hoodie that is made by skiers, for skiers. That would sell it to my parents at least

... or maybe you could convince them to take your money and place it into proper hands, i.e. spelling teachers........

tell then thats jiberish is so steezy and it will make u such a sytlish skier. if its ur money tell them that its my money i can buy whatever i want

im on their side with this one. jiberish looks sick, but its more than 80 for a hoody. kind of water resistant, maybe, but i still find it friggin expensive for a sweatshirt.

youre also more likely to be noticed in the park because, well, everyone on ns knows jiberish. so if youre a noob, be ready for insults, although they probably will only be out of your earshot.

yo son tell ma and pa that you want to support a company that wants to expand skiing. They want to help you by producing a super nice sweatshirt which is more like a damn coat. trust me i have last years red version and that shit is warm, poppin, baller, tall, fits nicely, and made with quality built into the seams. get ut BORthh

Jiberish fits big enough that it can make a great outer layer for everyday riding, but come on man. It's not technical outerwear. I forgot my jacket one day last week and had to wear one as my outer layer in 2 feet of snow. I didn't fall until the end of the day, but when I did I started getting pretty wet. It's made of cotton. Comfortable and relatively warm, but not a waterproof pow jacket.

If you buy them as a cheaper alternative to an everyday groomer and park jacket, then they are very cost effective. Regular jacket cost $150ish and up for decent quality usually, so an $80 jacket isn't bad.

this should end the thread. haha but seriously just get a job and buy your own. i did the very same and i am the proud owner of 5 jiberish pieces now

You're as unique you can be with the markets best fitting tall apparel with the best designs mankind has observed, yet pricetaggings are not as high as luxury brands set them.

The fabric is as good as it gets, it's solid, warm and great lasting.

These are my honest opinions, and if you tell your parents this and they still don't think you should buy one then you have parents made of alien material buddy.

I don't get it. Ya, jiberish stuff is pretty cool looking and probably comfortable, but you would be hard pressed to convince me that spending 80 bucks on a sweatshirt is reasonable, especially if you can't afford it. And i have a hard time believing that it is that much more comfy either. Just go to TJ Maxx and get yourself 4 sweatshirts instead.

tell the in order to be accepted by your peers on the mountain you have to wear certain clothing. they dont want their son to be a social outcast do they?

by looking at your profile i soon earned that you are a trend whore. saying things such as

-favorite trick:Fresh baked Pretzels

-Outerwear Look: I really want some Saga!

-Skis: line invaders

and now you want your parents to buy you an $80+ jiberish sweatshirt so you can "fit in" and show off to your 13 year old friends.i think your parents realize by purchasing this sweatshirt they would be opening a Pandora's box of you bitching for expensive things so you can be cool.

^ im sorry but compared to a lot of people on here< i am not a trend whore what so ever.

I bought the line invaders before i knew about NS my friends told me they were a fun ski, and other god things about them, i found them on sale at evo and picked up a pair. I would never judge some one "trend whore" by their skis.

As far as the saga its super water proof and verry technical, as it goes for outerwear. Right now I'm actually looking into some orage though because of things being sold out and realizing Alot of people have saga.

and for pretzels, personally in my opinion they are fun tricks. But now I'm more of a fan of switch ups and 270s out. I do admit i did steal the whole fresh baked thing from another person, i though it had a ring to it.

and as for jiberish the title of this thread was completely thought of because, well really just because, it was different then most thread titles. My parents don't buy my stuff as far as hoodies t shirts beanies and other casual clothing. I am wouldn't buy jiberish to "show off" because i thought there might be a reason NS'rs might love jiberish, so i was asking why. but because i live at a mountain that normally does not have weather warm enough for hoodie skiing, i don't need jiberish.

so i am giving no hate but i am not a trend whore in my opinion.

jibberish used to make a waterproofish hoody that sold for a lot cheaper than this years line up. they are robbing you. yes it looks cool yes tammy wears it but its not worth 80 bucks and if you wear it skiing consistently it will get trashed. with this said you shouldve hopped on that site that had them half off. since you missed that sale id say dont spend 80 bucks on a sweatshirt if your gonna be primarily skiing in it

Why do you capitalize random words and forget to capitalize proper nouns? It is a little bit confusing.

But really, I love my Jiberish, and tell your parents that it is just to support the sport that you love.

bought all my saga and voleurz with my own work money this season....while saving up for university..

aka get a job! plus it will help you alot in the future
