Liquor ticket

So I'm from Canada, and me and 3 of my buddies got a liquor ticket in kentucky. Anyways, I'm now back in Canada, and I'd have to send the money through mail to pay the ticket. If I had no intentions of going back to the states ever, I would definitely just say fuck it and not pay the ticket, but that's not the case. So if I never paid the ticket, could it cause a problem for me at the border if I went back, or do liquor citations never even leave the state? The police officer said if we don't pay the ticket, a US marshal would come after us, which I know is bullshit, but that made me think whether or not this would come up at the border if I tried to ever go back in.

If you ever want to go back, pay the ticket. Failure to pay will result in an outstanding warrant, which will absolutely show up when you are at the border/customs. Then you will be arrested.

haha a US marshal coming after you? they're full of shit...it's a little ticket they don't care
I would recommend you pay it though, you don't want some outstanding ticket or warrant for your arrest inside the US over something so silly. Just pay it and be done with it, then you don't have to worry at all.

I know the US marshal thing is bullshit. I was just wondering whether stuff like $125 liquor citations even went above the county or state level.

it's 125 bucks - why you even questioning this....

send them the money and be legit. Then go have a legal drink to celebrate living in a country with mature, trustworthy (and respectful to their young adults) sensible drinking laws.

Because it's 125 dollars. If I could get away without paying, then why wouldn't I do that? If for example this only gave me a problem in kentucky if I ever got in trouble with the law again there, then I wouldn't think twice about burning the ticket and moving on. If this will give me problems at the border though if I ever try to go to the states again, then that's a different story.Found out I can't pay it anyway. The address I have to send it to is a PO box, and Canada Post is the only service that can do that, and they are on strike right now.

pretty sure that if you don't pay it, and went back, that they'd actually be able to arrest you/have a warrant for your arrest.

Yeah, that's what we call them here where we live. The "offense description" on the ticket says "possession of alcohol by person under 21." Does that change anything? There was no arrest or anything like that.

oh ok yea the US blows chunks why would cigarettes (much worse for you than alcohol IMO(gonna start a shit storm))(Bitch thats right i just used parentheses inside parentheses)anyway why would cigarettes be available 3 years before alcohol. Anyways i am an aspiring Canadian so i went to bed sad last night even though i live in the US

yeah it's pretty sweet. I raged HARD after the ticket though. Don't really get why 21 was chosen as a drinking age. If you are 21, it's pretty sweet though. Your guys liquor and cigs are WAY cheaper. Pretty much everywhere in the world is 18.

I agree that cigs are worse for you but i think they are legal before alcohol because you dont get impared or anything when you smoke them. Nobody has ever smoked a pack then woken up with a tramp stamp
