Lip Tattoo?

I like the location because I don't want everyone to see it. For a while just 3 of us knew about it and then slowly we showed more and more of our close friends. Its not, like, a snowflake or something. the tattoo I have is something meaningful to a few friends and me. We dont need everyone to see it, so the inside lip is a great spot.
 
I met a guy who has "your name" tatooed on his ass. He wins lots of bar bets by saying I bet I have your name tatooed on my ass. His name is Steve-o. A different steve-o....
 
Loads of people seem to hate the idea, but I still love it. It's in a great spot to still have meaning to yourself, and not have everyone else see it. Even if i were hooking up with someone, how often do they look at your lip?

I've done a lot on it through different projects and books, and the symbol itself stand for loads of different things from french wars to mary magdalene. For me its empowerment, peace with myself, and unity
 
i understand then. just do it. it's for you, not for anyone else in this thread.

yeah ive done quite a few projects on them knights templars, incorporating the fleur de lis of course.
 
It's one of the most controversial things around if you look into everything that ties into it. If you pull in the nights templar, then you have to tie in the freemasons and everything they built

I'm doing it regardless, though i'm not gonna lie i was a little taken aback by everyone.
 
why do you have to contradict or attempt to correct every post i make on here? why can't you stop the hate?

usually people don't get tattoos just for the hell of it.

my friend got "rawr" haha. pretty funny but it faded after six months.... she said it was cool at parties though
 
To be honest with you when I read Lip Tattoo, the first thing I thought about was the identification lip tatts on the horses... but hey whatever floats your boat.

Coming from someone who has many many tattoos; If you have to ask for someones opinion about a tattoo, you shouldn't get it.
 
this guy i know, his name is Thomas. he got a star tattooed inside his mouth and it looked pretty cool but for sure it doesnt last long because you have so much saliva that the ink doesnt stay on long. he got it touched up but i doubt its worth it.
 
Lol I thought of that too. I pictured myself getting a lip tattoo and yelling "I got branded!" But I dunno. I think it would be sorta cool because its not all out there and screaming "look at me!", but it still has significance.

AS for the knucks.. I don't know man. I think if you want it, go for it, but I'm not so sure about getting "Fuck YOU" or whatever it was haha.

Get something with a little more meaning and a little less... I don't know... in your face-ness. You said the suits right? That could actually be kinda cool, and as a bartender you might even get more tips in an odd sort of way because people dig stuff like that at the bars for some reason.

Which reminds me, I have to go start memorizing drink recipes because I'm being tested tomorrow on my knowledge of drinks and speed at making em... haha. Balls!
 
before you get your knuckles tattooed, make sure you'll never be in a work environment where you'll have to cover you tattoos (and be the guy with the white gloves on all the time...)

also, EVERYONE will see it, so FUCK YEAH may be cool, but when paying for things, hand-shaking, or givin the knucks, many people will only see FUCK if you're right-handed

I'm saving permanent noticable mods for when I have a secure job with no dress code (3/4" lobes, sleeves)

I love tattoos ..... i have a few, and working on a design for a lower sleeve on my left arm....
some people just dont like em...but i agree with u...i think lip tattoos are pretty gnar
my room mate has "WORD" tattood in his lip...he did it as a joke..
if you get a good artist and a great design tattoos are beautiful i think :)
 
i think knuckle tats are pretty awesome looking, you just have to make sure your going to want to see it every time you pee, get food, grab a drink, shake someones hand... you know?

Otherwise i say do it. What do you have in mind?
 
im not really a fan of tattoos, but that knuckle one is sick. i think the thought of having something on you forever, and not being able to get rid of it isnt the best thing.

with the lip tattoo, if it goes away eventually than that is a different story. I just dont like the thought of having a needle in your mouth. It seems kind of awkward and gross..like what if for some reason the needle isnt steral?

 
if it's not sterile, it doesn't matter if it's in your mouth or not...you're fucked. that's why you spend the extra money and go to someone legit.
 
I've got two friends with tats on the inside of their lower lip.

one has got Blinky, the three eyed fish from the simpsons and the other has "est. 1975"

my sister just got a spine tattooed down her spine..its pretty freakin wierd and its not even finished yet. she wants it to be all biomechanical and such. its fucking ugly

lip tattoos? it seems so wierd and painful but if you want it go ahead, but the fleur de lis would be a nice thing outside too becuase it does hold so much meaning and grace etc.

 
So turns out I have a long wait to get my lip done. The artist that would do us saying he doesnt want to do the lip, but would do anything else. The only other person he trusts to do it lives like an hour away and takes 7 months to get an appointment with him. Sucks
