I actually am pretty pumped for this.

Probably because I saw the original in theaters. Which was before 75% of NS was even born yet.
 
I'm probably now going to find the original and watch it but I refuse to fall into the get rich quick scheme that is 3D remakes of disney classics
 
No I will never see this new higher quality bullshit because Disney is just being lazy and not making new movies but making the old ones higher quality, so fuck Disney

i absolutely love monsters inc. i think its the best disney movie to this day. OP - im going to be a naive consumer and fall for the 3D shit. whateva, its gonna be sick. i wonder if they are going to keep the subliminal messages
 
I absolutely love the lion king. But instead of buying into their little scheme ill just watch the vhs that is sitting 10 feet away from me.

even if this is a way to get more money, NOTHING has ever or will ever compare to these two scenes in theater

Don't give a shit that it's in 3D, but to see Lion King in theatres again, but when I can fully comprehend how awesome it is? I'll pay the extra couple bucks.
 
it's the fact that he connects this unbelievable story with homosexuality, as if real men can't enjoy it because it's "a kids movie"

this is making me so happy! Even though i was born 2 years after it came out, this is one of those things that makes up a person's childhood. SO STOKED
 
I was 4 when it cameout and we went to see it in the theatres- then the day it came out on vhs had that shit

still have an original VHS copy- holding onto that thing for a while

I'm making my last post for a while in this thread.

Saw it tonight in 3d with some friends and the nostalgia jus killed me. It was incredible. I know every word to ever song, almost all the lines. Tears of joy were shed when the opening scene started. I love this movie, and I hope to see it every day after school for the next two weeks, plus I don't have to pay because a friend from school is a manager at the theatre so I get free movies. WINNING.
