i just read h30films say that next years lines will be made in korea. is that true?

K2 and Line are made in China I think.

it's it better for us cause in china they make stuff alot better for a cheaper price becasue they work for a less ammount of pay and work like crazy.

i liked canada. why, oh why did they decide to switch to korea? korea means cheaper manufacturing, but you get what you pay for. they think nothing of selling off the design of something to some other company, like they own it. this pisses me off. i just dont see the reasoning behind it

what the fuck dude. that means that the skis are made in sweat shops. Nayone who has a soul cant respect that. I mean Lines are sweet and all but i think that this is too far.

 
Yep, because that's all Asia is apparently, a big sweat shop. (Sarcasm). It's a good thing; prices get lowered, but they will still have the same people doing quality control, so your ski will be just as good, if not better.

For the last time, quality control is not compromised by relocating factories to Asia! They'll be just as good but cheaper to make. So unless you're protesting the loss of Canadian jobs here...

 
Yup, I agree with Josh the Jibij man... skis will be exactly the same if not better! The whole reasoning behind this is for Line to make a better buck with cheaper manufacturing... I think the deserve it!

About that Chronic pair you wanna burn... U shoulda said so earlier! I just order mine a few days ago!!! I could've got them from U cheap Damn it!!! Que pendejo

Do you have any idea of how good the employees in China are treated who make skis?

I have seen pics and video of the K2 factory and they have the good life man. They are house on the property during production season and fed, no payment is taken for this. This means that when the production ends, they take home ALL the money they made to their family.

Sweatshop? Do some homework, China is quickly becoming one of the largest economic superpowers.

My guess is that if Line is moving production they will do something similar.

 
your an idiot. chinese people work so much harder than the average american worker. prices go down, quality should the same if not be better, whats the big issue.

no one is having a loss of jobs ither if you live in canada and they have the choice to go to china 6 months on and 6 off .. or they can work in the line office in canada .. skis will be made a million times better more quality and you ont have any lazy employes because they can be replaced in a second if they slack off plus it all comes down to us saving money meaning the best skis on earth in my mind will be cheaper to by

The move may not seem good, but they will keep prices down. No one really complains about k2 having bad quality work.

 
clearly, i have no clue what im talking about. it just bothers me that line is following the trend of outsourcing. they seem to be a company that strives to maintain an image of doing what is cool and being the little guy that creates change, but by following k2 overseas they are being hippocrates. does this make any sense to anyone? if not, then im wrong and i admit it.
