Liners?

ok so i got back from coc, and i had a great time but masssssive shinbang. i have fairly large feet (11) considering my size, i'm only 5' 8", and all skiers seem to have small feet. anyway, my boots (rossi exalt x 60, crappy i know, but fulltilts are $$) are size 29.5, so i should be able to buy size 29 liners, they'll fit in the shell, i'll get some improvement in the shinbang department, and if my feet grow at all i can just swap back in the old liners. is buying good new liners, probably heat moldable intuitions a good idea? i'm also assuming i should go to a bootfitter to make sure the new liners fit correctly. any suggestions on models of liners and such, or should i just save up 300 bucks and buy some fulltilts?

haha wow, i know. sometimes at camp people would shout "coc...coc..." and someone would always add a k during the pause between the chant.
 
look into getting some Intuition Liners for your boot (its what comes standard in full tilts). they are heat mold-able to your feet which will make your boots a helluva lot more comfortable and warmer as an added bonus.

 
this is what i'm thinking of doing. my only worry is that those can be pretty expensive, and it seems like i might as well spring for some new, or maybe slightly used full tilts, which also have the liner.
 
true. id moniter bst for some ft's your size. you should be able to get a used pair for around $200 (where as you could probably snag liners for about $100). but before you jump at full tilts id go to a local shop and try some on to make sure they fit your feet as they are not perfect for everyone.
 
Go to a bootfitter with a good selection (not easy to do this time of year). Do not tell them you want FTs. Just don't say shit and they'll put you in a boot with the right flex that matches your foot profile. Buying a new liner might make your boot a little more comfy, but I doubt its going to make a noticable difference when it comes to shin bang.
 
What Rach said, full tilts are not some magical boot that will fix all your shinbang worries
 
Most companies, including Lange/Rossignol, have stopped selling liners aftermarket so you will most likely have to go with an aftermarket specific company like Intuition. A brand new Intuition liner will cost you at least $150, plus fitting charges most likely. Say $200 just to be safe. And that is not guaranteed to fix your shinbang.

The only real way to deal with it is what Rach said- go see a boot-fitter and let him/her select what they think is the best option for you. You don't have to pull the trigger right there but go through the fitting process and ask them what the best solution would be. They might say that a new liner is worth it, but given what you said you are using, you are probably just better off saving for a complete new boot.
