the tail on my mothership delammed like 4 inches and line won't hook me up cuz i got 'em on ebay. so i epoxied it and clamped it and it fell apart again after like a day on the hill. so i'm gonna try and fix it again, and this time maybe put some of those studs in the tail like k2 does on the PE. anyone else done this type of repair and have suggestions?

um, epoxy didn't work? Are you using the pussy epoxy or the non pussy epoxy? Plus epoxy needs like 70 degree weather and a day to dry.

supper glue clamp then duct tape it, wont screw you up. Or there is this thing called gorilla or monkey glue that is suppost to be best stuff.

ok but you would have to buy them from a store to have the keep the warranty on the skis wouldnt you

i'd like to see someone put studs in like k2's. wouldn't u just need to drill it and stick in some sort of stud?

all warrenties are voided when purchased from someone other than an authorized dealer. This applys to any item anywhere. You will be hard pressed to find any company out there that doesnt have the same rules.

just drill some holes and put some rivets in there. they work the best

alright sounds good. i'll epoxy it and put some rivets in there and see how that works.

make sure you really rough up the surfaces that the epoxy is gonna bond to with sand paper, then you gotta make sure all the loose dust and debris in there gets blown out. When you clamp it, use a piece of metal on the top and bottom that you clamp onto, that way it applies even pressure to the whole area thats being bonded.

take levins advice on the epxoy, after you appoxy it, you can rivet the tip your self, throw 3 rivets in there kinda like on the pe's. I have done it to a pair of old k2 enemies, and skogens, and they will hold for a bit longer.

dude, of course they won't warranty them, why would they. you didn't pay up, the money you spent went to the guy who bought them, not the company so you did't support them so why would they help you out, i'm not saying good deals are bad but you have to realise there are limits to companies resources and willingness, they can't bend over backwards for everyguy who rides lines and has a problem

don't worry, i have no beef with line at all, and i completely understand why they wouldn't warranty a pair of skis that i got secondhand. i was just asking for some advice on fixing it, that's all. one thing that i didn't do last time was rough up the area before i epoxied it, so all this advice will help this time. thanks.

Rivits were a big thing when people were twin tipping normal skis, because they would delam instantly without 'em.

Meanwhile the cost of the animal - damage done to the pasture - is divided among all the herdsmen....... the herdsmen are getting nervous. putting more cattle on the pasture isnt helping anyone.
