Line vs K2 vs ON3P

Hey I'm looking for a new ski and plan on buying it in the summer as that is when they are cheapest. I'm looking for a park ski but isn't crap out of the park as I will only ride this ski. I live on the East Coast so I don't get much powder but I still do ride groomers. I ride about 75% park and 25% all mountain but the all mountain stuff usually isn't that hard a couple glades and mostly groomers because I am with people who aren't as good at skiing as me. I weigh about 135 lbs and am about 5"6 I"m looking at the line afterbangs ,chronic chryptonites, K2 domains, Revival, ON3P blue steeles or maybe the jeronimo. If you have any other suggestions lemme know thanks for the help

171 J-mo. I owned the old K2 public enemies, I still have my broken line chronics, ON3Ps quality blows them out of the water. I recommend 171 J-mos.

personally, i ride the jmo at Stratton and i fucking love it. it tears through ice. i dont really do much park so i cant comment on that. but the fatter ski is just more fun. i like the stability and the large carves that i make as i blow by people are just so much fun. also, if you get some fresh snow, they will be more fun

i have the j-mo and i don't feel as if i'm sacrificing park performance at all by choosing it over the blue steele, which was my initial choice. they're super sick and i love them to death.

I wouldnt go with the Bangs, theyre slow as shit and to much flex for the groomers. Cryptos are a dope ass ski they are buttery enough for the park but stiff enough to hold up on the groomers.

O and will I be able to find summer deals on ON3P skis because none of the shops around me carry them and I can't find any websites to order from other then the ON3P site. Thanks a lot btw I gave everyone good karma who responded.

We do all of our retail through our site currently to be able to offer our skis as cheaply as possible to consumers, it either requires we pump our production up more or sell skis at a higher MSRP. We'll be selling any stock we have over summer, but I dont expect to have much if we keep selling at this rate... we were supposed to be done with some models, but we might need to go back and press some more if demand keeps up.

o ok thanks the J-mo seems to be a popular ski as well so you probly won't have any leftovers of that over the summer right?

I would go for ON3P out of all those companies. They for sure make the best quality product out of the choices you gave.

also how do the afterbangs hold up on groomers I've read completely mixed reviews some people say their fine some people say they suck so what do you guys think?

i've been loving my revivals, bought em in 179 (note they actually measure out to 182)but i'm quite a bit bigger than you are, but i'm loving the camber on the ski, so easy to butter and press, but it holds it's own exceptionally well doing mach 10 down groomers, had them out for the first pow day (about 23") and they also performed better than i had expected them to.

anyone else have an opinion on the afterbangs out of the park? I know their great in the park but how do they hold up out of it? and when I go out of the park I'm still constantely hitting little side jumps and stuff like that

I got a pair afterbangs last week. I ride on east coast snow. Theu hold up well on groomers, but they get a little shaky when at high speeds. They are meant for hitting side jumps out of park since thier so playful.

Ok i have the On3p jeronimo size 181cm.... i love them, the weight is little on the higher side but they are still a light ski, only thing i wish is that they would be more flexible, but the rocker is perfect, in pow these babies float, and when hitting drops and jumps they can flex to ur comfort. My friend just ordered the line chronics a couple days ago, hopefully they are sick, we'll compare them, my uncle also has the K2 kung fujas, which are fuckinnnn sick.... but i wouldnt take any ski for my J'mos

In terms of construction quality I don't even think there's any comparison, the On3ps are just... better.

Yes for thier price, I would. If you have a little bit more money to throw around, you could also try the chronic cryptonites. They are a little bit more all mountain, but still function well in the park.( I ride with a friend who has them)

Pretty much sums it up. Do you want your skis made in China, or made in Portland by skiers for skiers?

My vote is for the Jeronimos. I love riding mine, regardless of the condition.

the only problem with the j-mos is that their a really good ski that a lot of people want so come summer time I probly won't be able to get that good of a deal on them

they're worth the extra money. you pay for what you get with on3p, it's not some marketing scheme to sell you chinese skis while raking in an enormous profit. the ski prices are as low as possible without forcing scott, rowen, and kip to start giving bj's for money in portland's industrial district

Don't get Afterbangs. I've been on the 166's for 2 years now and truthfully, I want them to break. They are very heavy and stiff. My friend has the same ones, and he completely agrees.

Unfortunately they are a very durable ski and probably won't break.

I heard the abangs are supposed to be really soft I"m riding the 09 bridges right now and I want something more park oriented.

i ski the new revivals and love them the jib rocker is super sick for butters and plus you can kill it on the jumps. They are super solid skis and they hold it down in the park. i use the k2 domains as a jib ski, they are decent on the jumps but they are meant a lot more for jibbin. And then if you want that all around ski that you can kill the park with but also be able to ski the whole mountain with and are decent in the Pow then go with the k2 Kung fujas, they are 102 underfoot so they hold you up pretty good. solid jump ski and i have no problem jibbin on dem. i used them on a backyard setup and they are fine. A lot like the Line Lizzies. hope this helped

Because most people don't own both.
The J-mo is great, don't get me wrong it's actually my favorite ski, but you ski on the East coast and ski almost entirely icy groomers and park. You don't need a beefier ski park/all mountain one ski quiver type ski. You want a park ski that is light and more flexible than the J-mo, and it's still going to be enjoyable when you play around on those rare occasions that you get snow.
That being said, some people prefer a wider landing platform and stiff flex of the J-mo and would take the extra weight for that. At your size I really don't see much benefit from a J-mo and think you will be just fine on a Blue Steele. They are a great park ski and I am so far impressed on the durability, as I have been with all ON3P skis.

thank you so much that helps a ton so many people only say the j-mos and say absolutely nothing else about the other ON3P skis.
