So thoughts. ive been skiing park on 182 foils, mounted 2? i think back from center. is a 178 line park ski gonna be to short for me at 6'2? im kinda looking for some other dudes around that height who have ridden them for some opinions

nah ull be fine dude lines have less of a tip so they will be almost the same
there so dank

lol never heard dank used before as a good thing, i myself rode salomon foils until i outgrew them i think you'll be fine with lines

i heart my foils. fuck solly for not making them anymore. the PERFECT park ski. stiff enough for jumps, soft enough for butteryness, held an edge/carved well, and light as fuck.

but its not the brand im concerned with, its the decreased lenghth, not to mention whatever ski i get will most likely be center mounted as well, making it seem even shorter

It's really a preference.. if you used 181 foils at -2, the centered 178s will feel shorter if that is what you are asking. The way it feels riding is that 181s at -2 feel the same (pretty much) as 185s at centre (in honesty i had the experience with 172s and then 176s but it'll be the same). If I were you I would aim for 183-185 and there are a few options in that size now.182 Atomic Punx.185 Volkl Wall.186 Moment Jib.That said Lines tend to come up a bit long, in terms of effective edge and you won't hate 178s its only a few cm less tip and tail.. I just think you might be happier on the longer skis.

I have 179 (184) kung fujas mounted at -2.5 and centre mounted anthems at 178, not quite the same difference your coming from but the anthems do feel short, but not too much in a bad way. I havnt spent enough time on them really to give you an accurate answer but they feel really light compared.

Im also 6 nearly 6'1 (185) and it really annoys me that line stops at 177, 178. They make a lot of skis I would like to buy but for anyone over 5,10 its sorta dicey. Especially since im really light as well so companies like Volkl who make a 177 and a 185 are just gonna be too stiff for me :(

They really need a 195 EP, 192 Bacon and 182 Lizzie and switch to the 177 and 185 with their park skis.

I compared a 178 anthem to the new chronic cryptonite and the 178 chronic is much shorter than the 178 anthem. I am going to go with Armada or k2 as they have longer park skis.

177/178 center mounted AND really soft at 6'2" sounds like a no no for anything you want to be stable on jumps. I'm 6' 185 lbs and even my 180 AR5s at center can wash out if I'm off center on anything over 40 feet. That's what TNKs or Pipecleaners are for :)

you'd be ok, i'm 6'5 and 200 lbs and was ok on 178 anthems, although i'm not hitting anything huge, but it was a fun ski on smaller stuff (up to like 30 feet, which is all my home mountain has)

as for the longer lengths, they are on tap for next season, that fucking christ.
