LINE team in comps?

I want to know why the hell the line team isn't in very many big competions? Wilson's kick ass flip at the US open was sick, but where the hell are the rest of the guys. If Nick, Pollard, and Skogen are good, they should be at least trying to get into some of the big competions to get line out in the open. Everyone knows Armada because Tanner rides Armada. Just my thoughts.

basically Line projects a laid back, progressing the sport and skiing on our own terms image. Skiing was never about whos number one, its about remembering why you love to ski, and turning that feeling into your actions. Pollard is constantly innovating the sport with rediculous shit. Wilson is a human cannon ball, fearless. Skogen is still getting back to 100 percent, but also another good rider. Dash and Mike Nick as well

Line lets their riders pursue their own intrests. I dont speak FOR Line, but i think if you let a rider do that they want, their gonna be much more apt to perform better for you. Ive seen some pissed off athletes at comps because they would rather be out free riding

because the line team is way ahead of its time. if the riders dont want to compete they dont. personaly i would rather hop on a skido and build a sick hit and film than go in the x games, but thats just me.

errr, skogen used to be one of the best big air competitors out there, 2nd at x games, i think he placed well at world free skiing open once, and one some quarterpipe comp there too, he was one of the orgionals doin the switch rodeo 7s. wilson never seems to be able to put it all together. pollard is just to laid back to be a threat, although he won x qualies last year, dash doesnt spin over 540, but mike nick and turpin both did super well 2 years ago at WSI, as well as jordan monk won the year he was riding for line, i dunno

Who says Line cant project that laid back style and still compete. Line needs to compete because that is where a lot of kids see them, so they will want to buy their product. Right now everyone knows pollards good, but no one can say for sure just how good he is compared to people like tanner.

 
Line riders dont need to be in comps, eveyone know about line only people who dont know about them are people that only watch the X-games. Mike Nick is doing his own thing with siver and eveyone allredy knows Mike and Wilson is just fucking crazy.

first off, Skogen doesnt suck, he's one of the most creative skiers out there. of course he's not at the same level as the top top guys like tanner and olsson and such, thats cause he almost lost his leg in the motorcycle accident and missed a TON of time on skis. but i bet next year he'll be one of the top skiers again

 
i don't think that line brand is unknown at all. true they're team doesn't get much exposure in comps because they don't compete much, but line is still a very popular ski company. it's obvious that they have made a name for themselves without that aspect of marketing.

first of all, he had the best section imo in ski movie 1 and fucked everyones shit up back in the day... he nearly had his leg amputated yet came back to throw stylie tricks and take shit into the backcountry? bitch, please

line doesn't find you bitches, you gotta find line. thats why they are the premier twin tip makers, and also have probably the best team of riders compared to anyone else out there, whether it be there special forces guys (pollard, skogen, wilson, longe, nick) or there ground troops dudes who are also incredible. if you dont believe me go to their website and check all their shit out.

why doesn't line compete? To give other compainies a chance to sell their shit. Look how big they are without competing. If they all went out and started with comps they would get too mainstream, and fuck the mainstream.

I am going to take this answer to the realm of snowboarding. look how that works. also skating. there are tons of pros that kids know. is that cause of comps, no. it is cause of videos. the line guys seem to have the same aproach. they would rather make a sick video segment for the future and work with it to better themselves rather than spending all their time at comps. plus comps are a totaly different beast in the mental part of skiing. perhaps they would just rather ski and do whatthey do.
