So i'm 5'6 and 120-130lbs 15 year old skier.

I like medium stiff ski, and i ride semi-agressive.

I can do basic tricks (360,540, some rails, few flips) and max jumps at about 45ft.

Would stepup work for me? I'm gonna focus a bit more on rails next year. But about 50/50 jumps and rails, and 70/30 park and mountain.

I could get this ski for a cheap price.

I rode the Stepups for 50+ days this season in all kinds of east-coast conditions (all mountain and park). They are a medium-stiff ski (I'm 5'9, 145-150 riding the 176) and are on the heavy side. I found them really stable and great at speed but their weight was quite noticeable trying to whip them around in the park. They had fast bases (when waxed) and the symmetrical shape was great for rails.

As far as durability goes, they've only got a couple edge cracks so far (none peeling away). They have lost a bit of pop over the season, but they're still decently stiff.

The Stepup really feels like a ski you can trust on hard landings but there are definitely lighter skis out there.

The skis i'm atm using are also heavy AF, so i'm used to ride a bit heavier ski.

But are there any other skis that would fit me good?

I ride on the stepups right now and i love them. They are good in the air and on rails. I've been riding on them all this season and i've had no problems with them. They are stiff and kind of heavier than other skis but you get used to that really fast. I'm 5'8" 160lbs and i ride on 176. The thing I like best about them is that their a tough ski and won't break as easily as other skis.

I'm not sure would they be too stiff for me? i'm 120, and too 5'8 (the first post was wrong).

And i was looking the ar7 too, but it costs 130$ more than lines

If you want a lighter ski that has all of the same traits as the stepup but way lighter, check out the surface double time, its their jump/park/all mountain ski, you can get a good deal on the anthony B version on evo right now ($260) Check em' out !

step up is a fun ski for early/midseason, when its not too soft, really playfull, but break from the tips fairly easy. i'd say the price/skiability ratio is fairly good.

I just checked on evo, they do have international shipping, and they have a screaming deal on them (might cost a little more due to international). The 170cm would be perfect for you

They are good skis, but my friend has used the 2013 pair for about 10 days total, he rides like you, and the topsheet has started to peel back. Also I have heard wooden skis get waterlogged very easy in wetish conditions. Just my opinion, I think you should get poly-core skis.

The topsheet peeling's not really a big deal (to me at least) and I don't recall my stepups ever feeling waterlogged even in pouring rain.

Thanks for all the replys! I'm probably getting stepups.

And for surfaces i would need to pay about 50euros more for the shipping.

How about Head the shows?

I found a good deal of them 2times used with tyrolia peak 12s.

I didn't find anything about them from internet.
