Line step up

there has been some controversy over the differences between the 2011 line afterbang and the step up. i looked at a line catalog for next year today at the shop i work at and the only difference other then the graphics is that the step up has two carbon olliebands and the afterbang only has one. the step up also comes in a longer size which is a 186 i believe. the longest afterbang size is in the lower 170s. because of the ollieband it may also be a little stiffer. both skis have the exact same dimensions and are both built like a skate board.i will have a chance to ski many of next year's skis next week so if i ski both the step up and afterbang i will make another thread posting what i noticed different.

technically form what i've heard the flex pattern on the step-ups is the same as the chronic, not the afterbang.

thats more the case. no butter zones in the step up, plus twice the carbon, means much stiffer flex.

ski kills it, skied em for two days a few weeks ago and fucking love them.

oh, and they come 184.

When when they say it has the chronic flex pattern, I am guessing they mean the OG chronic, not the cryptonite. The cryptonite is soft as hell.

I know its going to be a good park ski but i was wondering how versatile it is?

has anyone had it on the groomers, or on ice and powder?

i want to buy a park ski thats not bad for a bit of everything.

i would buy the chronic cryptonite but they are sold out in australia where im living at the moment and they stopped making anthems this year.

any help would be awesome

thanks

Anybody else really not like the graphic? i dont feel like the person that buys a ski for the graphics(mine now are mostly wood Colored top sheet) but the stepups graphic is just really annoying to me.

yeah, but most people don't buy skis according to the graphics, i mean yeah if you buy a ski that fits you but also has sick graphics then yeah it's a plus

The chronic cryptonite is the exact same ski as the chronic in a 92mm waist.
The step up has the exact same flex pattern as the chronic but with symmetrical 115-88-115 dimensions.
Step up will be a killer park ski, better than the chronic in the park I'm guessing.

Fuck so step ups or afterbangs?

Lots of rails and lots of jumps. I needs me a park ski for university!
