no when line skis started levinthal was making small "skiboards" which were modern dasy snowblades. Then eric pollard came and was like nonono we need to make them longer so they are skis, meanwhile salomon and other companies started to make skiboards mimicking levinthals prosuction then realised he was making twin tipped skis
