Line skis

Having read the live thread cast with j.levinthal... does anyone else feel that he didn't really address any of the issues raised. I didn't feel inspired or encouraged to buy line.Moving production to china is a financial choice rather than a quality of product decision.I find myself asking the question.. Are line in financial trouble? (the ditching of all their riders lends to this theory)

I don't want to hate on line as newschool need as many companies competing against each other as possible. Is this the future for the other 'core' companies... effectively strangled by the financial might of rossi and salomon..

If they were in financial trouble I'd think that they'd cut down their amateur team as well but this isn't really the case. I'm sure if anything they are just changing around their assets to try something new.

just because the skis are being made in china doesnt mean the quality of the skis will suffer. K2 moved to china a season or two ago, has the quality of thier skis suffered? Line moved all of its machines to China, shit should be fine.

i think he did a good job, remember he was one dude tryin to answer like 15 pages of questions within a couple hrs, he couldnt really go that in depth, and i think theyre shit will be fine, chinas stuff aint bad at all, plus theyre usin the same machines, so it shouldnt change at all

well put he answered all of the relevant questions while still being a sales person, and repping line skis.

i do know what you are saying. i didnt feel like he said a lot of the things that people were wondering. BUt i am sure the skis will be fine cause their skis are sick

how many other owners of ski companies go to websites and hold open interviews with the public...i think wut he did shows how down to earth he is and i think he answered the questions fine

plus line hooks you up like crazy with warrantee, so even if i had a reason to, i couldn't hate them. Line is sick and theres no reason that people in china can't make skis as well as in america. also, J never claimed that moving to china was a "quality decision" he said that it was a financial decision in order to make Line skis more affordable. I know i'm not gonna complain that i don't have to sell my soul to buy rider owned skis anymore.

This was a desperate attempt by J to sell skis...Armada is taking over, and in a few years, Line in all of it's fruitbootyness will be off the market.

i love line, if your a good skier it doesnt matter whats under your boots anywyas... when your clearing a 60 foot gap and spinng a 9... its not gonna matter

i gotta give j some serious props. i mean, he willingly opened a threaded that was designated 2 take shit from some of the biggest dicks in the world, us, the members of ns, and handled it with style and composure.

nice job j. oh and thanx 2.

Yeah, i think he did a really good job. Not to mention he put himself infront of a community that can be somewhat negative sometimes... bottom line... Line is sick. So buy their stuff and Fuck Salmon and Rossi!
