Hey im looking into getting a pair of line skis this season. I want to get a pair of mike nicks but i have heard bad things about line. My friend works at a ski shop and last year they had a lot of complaints on the lines. they used to be a sidewall construction, and those delaminated on every single pair we got, and then last year they went to a cap construction and tons of people came back and complained about the flex and some other stuff. Have any of you had those problems? let me know what you think. Dont get me wrong i support line and i got a pair of mike nick pro skiboards but are they like that?

 
yap, my friend has been riding line ever since they came out, he has bought 1 pair, and has had so much trouble with them brakeing and shit, he keeps geting knew pairs for free.. he os in his forthor with pair in 2 years i think

 
i bought a pair of mike nicks after having 1080s, and it was a BIG step down. they were way too flexy, and it was hard to land big tricks on. they also sucked at just skiing. i would recommend not buying them, and going with something with way less flex.

 
Those people that are complaining are just old gay asses who dont know what to do with a flexy ski, and cry when a little delam comes off, this and last years skis are much better, they dont delam as much. Go with Line.

 
Line has awesome an awesome concept, and canadian made to so you think they'd be good, but sadly because they are a new company they do have some problems. for one thing a guy i worked with at nakiska last year went through 4 pairs in one season cause they shattered.

 
lines are only good in the park, no where else i wouldlnt get them if i where you.

. unless you stay in the park all day.

 
Don't make a general statement about Lines not being good in all terrain.

Do you know nothing of the ghetto blasters or mavericks?

Line has the freestyle skiing in mind, so their skis cater to this. So yes, they are geared towards the park, but this year they have some great stuff coming out for you all-mountain riders. Check out their website or www.getboards.com to see the new skis they are coming out with.

 
lines do have some durabilty issues, or at least, they did. This is my opinion. The older lines werent that strong. My skigens delamed the same season i got em, then i got 02 1260's. They were a great ski, didnt delam. The only reason i have new ones (03) from warranty is because of a really fucked up landing/fall. They broke broke/bent behing one binding. That was MY fault, but line, being the cool people that they are, replaced em for me. So if your planning on getting lines, get 02's or 03's!

Hmmm, who would want a ski that doesn't delam 'as much', I want a ski that doesn't delam period.
