Line Skis Conclusion

Last yeah i had a pair of lines. It was my second year on them, and throughout the year,my edges cracked,i redrilled, and they snapped. Now the snapping is by no means lines fault, because my old holes were filled in pretty badly. The edges cracked, but so what, i railed for a year before anything even looked wrong with my edges, Plus, i was new to grinding, so that didn't help. Anyways, I bitched about how line's construction sucks and about how their skis just don't hold up compaired to other compainies, like most people who hate on line in this forum. So i bought a pair of Scratches this year, guess what? Topsheets look worst now, than my lines looked after 2 years of abuse. My edges are hella scratched, and i can grind easily now, and chunks come off the sidewalls of my skis, and my other friends skis (which are also rossis) I've concluded that everyone who hates on line, has either only ridden Line,or have never owned lines. 2005 im deffinatly going back to Line, because they are the shit, hands down, for flex, and overall feeling on the snow, and their construction is up to par with most ski compainies, if not better.

So what you are saying is that everyone hate Line skice you said they either have only ridden Line or haven't. That is everyone. Soryy I just had to make fun of your logic.

This year I hope to see more kids incorporating newschol with big mountain ridning and getting out of the park- Matt Levinthal

^levinthal didn't say that quote, and it's this year's skiing cliche anyway

as for lines, yeah they kick ass, i like them alot

well, remember that just like any other ski company they are bound to have some skis taht are better than others in the eyes of the public market. The pro-models are designed to suit their pro's, who might have different preferences than you. This goes for all ski companies.

just food for thought.

life is too short to have any regrets

i know my next pair will be Line

i belive his logic was that people who hate line have only skied line, or never skied line, as appose to those who have skied line and then skied something else...Wich in a comparison, is exactly the group that should make a judgment call.

ive skied my friends lines and ive skied my old 1080s and my new scratches. the lines are really light, and hold up very well. i have no problem with them. as for the scratches, the sidewall chipping is annoying, but theyre still good. i dont see why people hate line so much.

so far, im relatively happy with my Lines. for the park they are better than any other ski ive ridden, but for anything else other than park, they are too soft. im saying this cause im an east coast skier and ski on alot of ice, so edge hold is more important than it might be out west. next year i wont buy Lines, but i'll have to wait and see how future skis are, cause they are a sick company that i'd like to continue to support

How fast ur skis wear and tear also depends on how hard u ski and what kind of urban stuff ur doin no matter what ski ur on they r bound to delam wear crack and scratch but i have no complaints about my lines

If you don't mind telestar, I'm going to make fun of YOUR logic for a minute. His makes perfect sense: if you've ridden ONLY Line skis (i.e. never ridden another company's skis), or you've NEVER ridden Line skis (so you wouldn't have any basis for judgement). He's saying that people who have ridden on both Line skis and other companies' skis know better.

too bad lines skis are fucking noodles, and they use cap construction which is cheaper and less durable, trix are for kids bitch

always leave the bitches hanging, the lure of the donkey dizzle is enought to wrangle them back

how do you all buy new skis every year?

line is the best...you can't beat the lifetime warranty. so even if they do delam, and the edges come out and you scratch up the bottom and rip up the top sheet...it doesn't matter...send em back and they'll send you new ones. just make sure to have the sales receipt and make sure they are completely messed up before sending them back. i'll ride line till i die, kiddies.

it has to start somewhere. it has to start sometime. what better place than here, what better time that now.

with money. skis arn't that expensive. shit you're a rep you know how much that shit costs. who can't scrape together a few hundred bucks.

i split the cost with parents, plus i dont buy them at the beginning of the season, wait till the end, or just get last years model. oh, and i dont get new skis every year, i ski on em about a year and a half then get new ones, cause i ski so much/hard that they usually dont last much longer than that

you just need to be an educated shopper. dont go into a store and buy the skis the first time, shop around look online and find deals, even on current model skis they are still cheap. take for instance i bought i pair of PE back in october with bindings. i got the skis for 297 with a pre-season sale and last years bindings for 150. deals are out there on good skis, you just gotta look

I'd like to ski a tm, a fujative/pe, and an armada before I can make absolute comparisons,... but so far I really like Line, I mean the big wigs whoever they think they are, bash Line cause aparently they are not made as good as other skis. But how long does everyone's skis last with what we do anyways. and like the first guy said about his rossi's being more fucked up than his Line's, like it's obviously possible. It's just luck of hitting your top sheet the wrong way, or slamming onto a rail or rock wrong, it'd make anything break/chip.

I was going to get Candide's next year, but I think I'm leaning more towards the new Mike Nicks, the soft flex of Line is something I've really grown accustomed to. I don't really care about ultra-responsiveness of a ski like the 1080, I like the relaxed/soft ride that gives even if they don't hold the best edge or make the tightest turn. Lastly, Line's are fuckin light. I just rode some salomons, and some rossi's, then i put my skogens back on (which were slightly bigger even than both) and they were SO much lighter.

food for thought, long live Line.

'What are they gonna do?, show us up, (followed by a lot of laughing)' Roy and I having a convo between ourselves wondering what would happen if a couple boarders in our park got mad

'I could be skiing right now.' Me in my friends car with some ladies at about 12 for lunch, they're singing, I'm bored, they weren't too happy, but they got the message and I went skiing sooner than I could've hoped

'hey baby, it's no good if your friends can't have none' My friend Dan, as he attempts to share and mack a broad at the same time

yeah everyone is so bitchy when it comes to picking line skis out. they say stuff about the edge grip and what have you. but you just gotta remember the day of the 210cm sticks. It would be nice to go back to those days when skis didnt make the skier

a friend of mine is riding public enemy's, and they are really fucked up, the bindings ripping out, ripping edges out, and chipping down to the core. another friend of mine rides the new scratches. the first day out on them, he hit a rail, bubbled his base, and is missing about a 3 inch peice. My lines are holding up really well, the only thing is is some chunks out of the bases, because i was in a car accident, and they flew out the window 40 feet down the road. the kids i ride with hit the same stuff i do, and i hit the same stuff they do. as for me, i am very happy with the way my lines have held up, and i will definately buy lines again.
