Line ski quality?

How do they hold up? Top sheet, base, edges? I haven't rode lines in 3 years and im debating on wether or not to get a pair this year. I need something that will last me all season for about 50-60 days. I can be somewhat hard on my skis too.

Ehh im looking for a ski that can handle anything really. I live on the East, so all I do is park. I love a stiff, wide ski and was looking at the 09 blend but im not sure now. I rode the Volkl Wall's last season and they held up great. Im looking for something similar to the wall for this year, but a little wider.

57 days on my anthems and theyre going strong. theres not much chamber left, but i do weigh like 200 and butter a lot

my chronics(06-07) held up pretty well, but i broke my bindings that i had in their and so i have 2 sets of binding holes and i just never put a new binder on, they could still ski more i think and ive put something like 60-80 days on them. plus i weigh about 200 pounds so im hard on skis. after looking at them now, i have 2 cracked edges, 1 on each ski. and i have a couple core shots i repaired but i think thats because i rode some opening weekend powder, which was about 8 inches of fresh snow on rocks.

addicts are a durable ski, ive put like 70 days on them and no problems at all, 6 edge cracks, 2 on 3 of my 4 edges.

Somewhere in the 90's will be good, maybe even 100mm. It doesn't have to be symmetrical, and they will be mounted at true center. I never ride power so it doesn't matter for me, and the little powder we get, i wont mind leaning back a little.

Im 5'9", 150lbs

They will last you one season if you are lucky. My friend rides Lines and they seem to always fall apart. But they have sick graphics..... I guess that is a plus. and doesn't K2 own Line?

to the thread maker: anthems are symmetrical and 93, moment reno rockers are symmetrical and 92, but rockered so it kind of depends on what you want. Unless youre a backseat skier Id recommend getting a symmetrical ski, and if you have proper skiing style the sweet spot on symmetricals is .5 to 1 cm back.

Okay, a few skis you could look at.

Armada ARV - softer than your walls but it will absolutely kill everywhere
Volkl bridge - Very similar construction to your Walls so weight and flex is fairly similar though not quite so stiff. But these will kill it everywhere.
K2 Kung Fujas - Really solid skis the flex is medium and they are super nice. With Jesters they are the second lightest skis i have picked up.
Rossi Scratch BC/Brigade/S5 - these skis throw down from a foot of fresh to sheets ice. The edge hold is really nice and the flex is smooth but solid.
Dynastar Big Troubles - Really nice, fairly light for their size and have a nice flex that really suits the park and playful pow.
These are just your mainstream brands and there is a lot out there. So have a look around and do some research.
Then there is moment, these skis are sick man, and you really should consider a pair, let me know if you would consider them and I'll post up your options.

lines are amazing. ive had a lot and they all held up great except for a defective pair of invaders but i warrantied them no problem

well if the walls held up great for you then you are either not that hard on your skis or just lucky, because for most people they held up about as well as a chocolate skyscraper in a desert.. that aside you want a stiff, wide park ski? i had the walls and if you are serious about some width maybe the rossi scratch brigade/s5 or the volkl bridge? but the bridge has seriously fat tips and narrow tails.. maybe 4frnt MSPs? definitely stiff but a bit less wide than the S5.. take a look at the s5 they might be money for you..

I've been on a pair of Lines since 03 with the blue 1260, they lasted me 1 season(used) then went to another owner, where they then blew apart underfoot. My ski after was the 04 Monthership which handled another season(used) then went on to another owner which lasted half a season I think. Then I bought 06/07 Prophet 90's new, and they still have lots of life in them, I have about 80 days on them, topsheet chipping from everyday stuff and a little chunk missing from the tail from coming short on a double and scraping a rock.

And to top everything off, my new 08/09 Blends are in and ready to be picked up.

Now a days with better technology, they can probally last forever. Understatment? I think not

i skied my bacons for over 80 days, they still look new, aside from one gauge on the base.

i skied my prophet 130s maybe 25 times those are deffenately still looking new.

i skied some elizabeths for 2 years, sold em to a friend who is ruthless on his skis. they are still alive.

Looks like the Bridge for me. The Chonic Blends are temping tho, but 100mm underfoot for park might be a little too much for me.
