I have a pair of the 186's and have ridden them around a dozen times with Pivot 14s mounted at the recommended point. I think the Blister review is pretty spot on. They're fun in anything soft but as the snow gets cruddy/chunkier they get knocked around some. Lots of fun in the spring, they carve well and are very surfy and fun in fresh snow, even if its low angle. They're pretty comfortable skiing relatively fast, especially if its on soft or smooth snow, but not a charging ski as they get tossed around and don't want to plow through crud as much as a stiffer, heavier ski. If you don't need a full twin tip and don't want them as an aggressive charging ski I think they're a great all-mountain option. I'm really tempted to put AT bindings on mine at some point, I'm sure they would be a pretty good touring ski since they're light and easy/fun to ski in most conditions.
