I currently own a pair of Faction Candide 1.0 which I like but im looking for something more exciting and playful on groomers and sometimes in the powder, would this ski be a good choice. I am 5,7 110 pounds.

Favorite thing I have skied & my go to. I’ve skied it in pretty much every condition from east coast ice to japanese pow and have nothing but great things to say about it. It’s changed the way I ski quite a bit too which is sick.

For the north East yah great for our powder days, packed pow and groomers

great carving ski but nsm on ice no

soft ski

im used to skiing ice on a faction candide 1.0 would the sakana be worse or better

The SFB is pretty playful and wider than the sakana. It will also be closer to the CT 1.0 because of its mounting point. This year, line increased the amount of edge engaged while carving making it a lot better for groomers

I bought the Sakanas this year and have 2 days on them. I LOVE them! 1st day was on a hard packed groomer and they were fun and carved really well. Even more so as the snow softened up. Day 2 I took them out in about 4 inches of powder and they were great! Even did well in the crud later in the day.

Someone mentioned that the SFB were wider. THe shovel on the Sakana in 150mm. It has no problem getting above the snow. I skied it in the trees and it was a blast. Super short turning radius took some getting used to.

The sfb is only 2 mm wider

mount point is biggest difference
