Line Reactor FP Indicator

Probably a dumb question, but you see the Forward Pressure Indicator on the reactor 12's. When they say "with boot inserted and heel closed, the fpi must be within .5mm-2.5mm of sticking out" in the wonderful 'user manual', does this mean that the little black plastic bit (is that even the fpi??!) has to sit out .5-2.5mm further than the similar silver metal bit below it? Cus it don't and the diagram it gives is crap!

The way i did it is to match the little silver thing with the black piece and it works for me. So basically there is a silver piece and a black piece on the fp indicator and i matched those. Hope that makes sense.

By the way everyone says that you should have them mounted at a shop.

Cool, thanks for that. Yeah, i got them setup at the store and the guy in there said he couldn't guarantee that they were setup correctly cus they didn't stock the binding. The reactors aren't available in the UK this year so noone seems to know how they work! I'll give them a try but keep on the cautious side until I get used to them. Now, where's the snow...

There is like the longer black plastic bit and the shorter black plastic bit that the long one comes out of almost, the silver piece is supposed to be inbetween them, so not inside the toe piece and not beyond the black peice. My shop set mine up to be almost even with the inner black piece, just sticking out a little bit.
