line are making an adapter that you can buy that makes it possible to use the shitty reactor binding on any ski.

^ correct...its basically just a added piece that drills into the ski, then the reactor binding sits on top, problem with this is, your WAY THE FUCK off the snow, its like a race lifter on a twintip, and the reactor binding is already too high for my liking

Myself when I tried the reactor last year, I liked it, but they are an unsafe piece of shit right now, and they have a lot of work to do for next year on them.

Negative Bud. Just because you own a pair of Line skis doesnt make them the best company out there...They suck to deal with. Whenever you call, you can talk to 4 different people and hear 4 totally different answers to the same question. Last week, 2 different people told me that the binding would be at our store within the next 2 weeks. They have been saying that since last year at this time. Don't try to say they are even remotely close to having the best customer support out there. It is easier to get answers from the Chinese people at K2's factory in China than it is to get a non BS filled answer from someone at Line. The idea behind the compnay is a good idea, and they have some incredibly talented skiers, but their business skills really suck.

plus the adapters a pretty much solid metel, making the system officaly 43 times the weight of any other bindings on the markets, you gonna need thighs the size of treetrunks to move those skis around.

just put a tyrolia plate on em, you can get em with only 9mm of lift, and then drill the line bindings into those

Fear causes hesitation and hesitation causes your worst fears to come true

you cant just 'drill' the reactor binding into a plate...the screws require the threaded inserts in the ski, much like a snowboard binding, therefor u would have to either change screws, or just wait till Line makes the binding right...this is pointless, why make a plate for a binding that isnt worth the trouble anyway? just wait a year till Line makes it better

haha, i guess you're right, but i figured i'd ask, as i'm one of the few to actually own the bindings.

line is sick dont hate on line. prolly sickest looking skies on the market the little black ninjas are fuckin sick.

Go Big and Die!

you guys are pretty much all really stupid.

The greatest and best part of the reactor is the ability to use one binding on many skis. That is why someone would want the adapter. I would love to have one pair of bindings for all my skis. It is a great idea. Snowboarders dont need more than one binding with many boards so why should skiers. I cant belive no one mentioned this important feature.

S.A.M.

Hey SAM2000, why would you want to have to swap your bindings around when you decide to take another pair of skis out for the day? Sounds like a pain in the ass to me.

Do I want to dick around with removing 8 screws and then putting them back in the other skis?

Oh shit, I can't find my screwdriver/hex-wrench.

Damnit, the thread holes have dirt in them and this one screw won't go in.

Or... do I just want to grab my boards and go?

lines suck.

you could try putting in mounts into other skis, they do this sometimes when a hole is stipped on you ski. but it wont probably wont work because the line holes have pices of metal attached to them that sandwich in between the layers of ski.

PLEATH! SNOWBEH! NO!!!

hey phunk, how about when you break your skis?, or if you break your bindings, and get a new pair of either and need to swap em real quick

it works well with snowboarders, my friends switch around their bindings a lot on their snowboards, it just makes it a shitload easier

and it would help with the ripping out of bindings, which i do a lot

i still cant belive it only one other person only sees the benefit of the reactor plate. one binding many skis. As Phuck said what about is i dont have my hex wrench driver with me? all real skiers dont go anywhere with out a posi-driver. come on dumbass just say it 'I just dont like line and am basing my opinion on the binding on that.'

i always chuck a leatherman in my bag, but anyway....

the real reason i asked is so that i might be able to buy a pair of skis and save the $300 on another pair of bindizzles.

maybe if you got a good ski like the seth pistol you would only need one pair of skis that rule all terrain and conditions

JksL: Explain one time when you've 'broken your skis and needed to swap the bindings real fast.' When would that ever happen? Do you bring a spare pair of new skis to the mountain every day with you, just in case you bust one? If I broke a binding 'and needed to replace it real fast' (because I keep a spare pair of bindings in my pack just in case I break one, just like you apparently do) then I would just screw it into the same damn holes the previous pair was screwed into.

SAM2000: I like Line. I've owned Skogans and liked them (for park only) and I'm considering Motherships for this winter. Just because I've liked 2 pairs of Line skis doesn't mean I have to think the quickchange binding idea is a good one. Don't be so quick to call someone a Line hater just because there are a lot of em on this board.

actually i basically do have a back up pair of skiis now, cause i so frequently break them, and this year i had to borrow skiis from different people cause i didn't have mounted skiis, and about putting bindings in the same holes as the preivous bindings, unless they're the same bindings, it won't really work, since a lot of bindings have different dril patterns
