I have heard rumors that the quality of Line skis is not good. (Cheap p-tex in the bases, bad lamination, etc.) Is this true?

Thanks

u r gonna get destroyed so badly lol

i love my old lines

I have the 03'-04' motherships, and they are rugged as hell! For a wide board, they do well all over the hill. I have though had a problem in the tips. Where the lamination meets the edge, a gap has come in, and the core is showing. I already have the Pollards in route, and the Skogens are in the closet, I just can't seem to get away from the mothers!

they are of poor quality but there still super sick. if they changed to a stronger construction they would be the best ski company by far

I talked to a Line rep in UK couple months ago and they said there's not even ONE report of delamination.

All skis can last long until you hit the rail which will cut their lives quite short.

I have a pair of the old blue 1260's and the bindings broke before the ski did. They do scratch and chip fairly easily, but even after skiing on these for 2 years, I never had anything even close to a delamination.

ya you dont really hear about delams from them too often. and plus my friend actualy tried to make his old skogens delam with some tools and he couldnt get it to delam...so ya dont worry there pretty tough plus you can warrenty if they break.

I have the new 1260's and they are the best twin i ever rode. I love how light they are and the true twin tip is sweet ass. Mine have'nt gotten close to wrecking yet.

everyone i know that has bought line in the past say that their super shity but personally i havent rode them enough to know for sure

The shit hasnt even begun to hit the fan

huck my nuts. there is your first problem. people that rode them in the PAST. line quality for the last 2 years is incredible. on top of that, awesome warranty policy if something does happen. i know that alot of times if it's a year out of warranty, they send out a new pair. listen to people that ski them now, not the people that used them 3-4 years ago that haven't tried them since and still base their opinions on the far away past.

Just Huck It.

I'm sitll riding on the orange 1260s. Yes, they are super old. And they have held up beautifully. They are on their way out now. Maybe it's beause they have almost never seen a rail, but they have taken the abuse from jumps very nicely.

i got a pair of 02 mike nicks last year and they delaminated in the tip so i got some pics and mailed them to line. then i put rubber cement in to hold them together for a little while longer. now i have a pair of new mike nicks on there way and im gunna see if i can trade them for some pollards at a ski shop.

My '03 Skogans delammed after about 6 days of skiing on them. The bases suck too.

the top sheet scratches and chips really easiluy but that doesnt effect the performance of the ski
