Line Prophet 90 compared to Line Chronic

Hey everyone. I currently have a pair of prophet 90s and was thinking of getting a pair of Chronics for park. I am a very strong skier in all conditions and can ski switch on black diamonds. However I would like to get into park a bit more.

I was told that the prophet 90 and chronic are too similar to have both in my "quiver". I can probably do park on the prohets but then again I'd like to keep the edges on these as these are my only skis atm after I got two paiirs stolen in the beginning of the season (one of shich were brand new chronics that I didn't get to ride much to compare).

Although I can see similarities (ie waist width are close 90 vs 85) there seems to be some differences as well. The chrons have a symmetrical flex pattern and doesn't have the metal matrix which might make it less stiffer than the prophets.

Anybody here skied both to notice any differences or any advice on whether to get a differnt park ski etc? I don't want a ski that is too soft since I like stiffer skis. Any feedback is welcome.

almost any comments welcome.

I dunno what to say to indicate my skill level, ok? This is only my second season skiing.

If you want a "do it all ski" the chronic is really a good choice, but yes, not all that different from your prophet 90s. If you want a park specific ski, i would not get the chronics. My chrons have lasted several years of abuse and were my one-quiver ski. Then i got a fat ski, and they have been demoted.

Soo yeah Prophets and Chronics are pretty much in the same category. You could do park on your phophets. If you want to jib, but not fuck up the Prophets, pick up a park-specific jib stick

the chronic blend and the prophet 90 are very similar. if your talking about getting the chronic, not the chronic blend, then yes that is a good park ski. The chronic blend and the prophet 90 are the exact same dimensions, the chronic blend just has a carbon fiber plate in it instead of a titanium one. its not as burly or stiff. but is very very similar to the 90.

I have both skis.....I use the Prophet's as my allmt ski, I think there

amazing. Last season I decided to dedicate more time to actually

learning park, so I decided to get myself a pair of chronics b/c I wanted

a simialr ski since I like the stiffness of the Prophet. If you like the

way the Prophet handle I would highly recommend getting a pair of

Chronics for park so you feel comfortable going to park. They have a lot of pop and I feel have helped me

learn rather quickly. There really fun ski and in my opinion great for

learning park. My only regret was not waiting till this season to get new one

them b/c the 181s would have been nice to have.

The other ski people recommended for me was the K2 Silencers, b/c of the stiffness of the ski. I have never demoed the K2's but I just to let you know another option.

the ten mm difference and stiffness due to core material and ollie band are the big differences. Id go with inskaters for a park/jib stick
