anyone whos ridden either of these.... i could use some input, im not sure which one to buy and i liek these two.

prophets are pretty much made for going forward and charging, traditional mount, stiff, great one ski quiver. rorys, never ridden them, but more freestyle orientated.

Can't attest to anything about the rorys, but the prophet 100's are terrific. If you are looking for a ski that can do it all, on any terrain in the mountain, you can't go wrong with the prophet. I owned a pair myself, and they were great. Not stiff, but super solid, and still pretty turny because of the sidecut. The only place I'm not sure about them in is the park. Something weird happened with them though. When I firs bought them, they had a minimal amount of camber, and regular tip and tail. As expected the camber flattened out with use, but I think because of the titanium bending, the ski has turned into almost mini hellbents. There is rocker that goes approx. 10 cm further than the regular into the tip and tail.

I'm pretty sure that's not meant to happen! Did you by any chance have a habit of storing your skis wedged into your stairs, cause that could be the problem here!?

I have heard from a few people that they rapidly decamber. Line warrantied them if i recall correctly

with a 100mm underfoot the 100 fuckin kills it in the pow, aswell as everywhere else (except park unless u like beefy park skis). huge-go described them quite well "not stiff but still solid", i've never charged as hard and felt as confident as with the prophet 100. great allmt/pow skis for sure!

any sudgesttions on what size to get? 179 or 186??? 5'10 170lbs

and i can charge hard and go anywhere on a mounthain

@ 5´8 185lbs, i was on the 179 back when line had the reactor bindings and they worked great for me. i actually liked the "freeride" mount more than the traditional (a bit more centered). i guess it depends on your experience and preference with shorter or longer skis.

go 186. you're shorter than me but same weight. i ride 186s as my everyday charger and they are perfect. they measure quite short- my brother's 185 arvs are longer.

as for the durability issues- my 08 ones started to delam at the tips but only after i started hitting rails and stuff. line were cool and warranteed them purely based on pictures and sent me the 09s : )

are they?? i really like the rorys but i want an all mt ski that can handle anything and i like the rory cause its a little fatter than the prophet and i find that fun. anyone have any actual comparisons between the two?

i only demoed the prophet 100s for a day but yeah they fuckin rip. i found them somehow to be more stable AND more maneuverable than my scratch bcs. too heavy to be an ideal jib ski but thats not what they're for

I own prophets and I have skied them MANY days.

They are good everywhere, even in the park. I really like mine in the park. They are playful, fun skis, especially after you "break them in", ie use them for a while and they soften up. They are solid, but playful, are good in pop, on groomers, in crud, in slush, in park ETC
