so this february i broke my 00-01 skogens, and line happily warrentied them for me. I got a new pair of 01-02s, and on my third day out i noticed them starting to separate under my boot. I slide rails barely, mostly hit decent tables and ski all mountain. Today i went into my local shop because i had to get one of my binding fixed, and they told me i should call line and try and get them warrantied today. So i called and they told me to send them in, but they weren't sure if they would warrenty them because i slid rails a little bit. I understand this, but does anyone know if there's a possibility i will get them replaced or repaired? They said they wouldnt be able to replace them until august anyways.

does anyone know why these skis break so much? I think it might be because i am big, 6'2'' and about 170. Does anyone else have this much trouble with these skis?

get em on this: they advertise them as park skis, so yous hould be able to ride the park without ruining your skis.

yeah, i did a lot of rails on my older skogens, which are supposed to be worse skis than last years, but i shitted up last years in two days, what the hell.

my skogens came apart under the boot, i slid tons of rails. i sent them in and they told me they where going to send me new ones in aug. they better not go back on there word.

if my skis started to go, id just use them untill there is no possible way to use them - my friend was trying to learn to do 5's and one time he accidently did a flat-3 (looked really tight) but he didnt land it and his skis snapped right under the binding, but he kept trying for the 5 untill his skis were in 2 pieces, then he bought a pair of some new head skis that same night at like 11:00

is there a time limit on the warrentee... i have the original skogan sprang's and i used them for a year of park and all mountain and used them this year as rail skis only and they have held up fine

 
mine are still one year so im not sure why he wont warrent them.... skis arent cheap so i cant just go and buy some new ones if mine are still under warrenty.

as for the 'park skis should be able to handle the park comment' that ussaully dosent work just send them back, and they will give you a pair,

i got sent in some of the 00-01 skogans that had been used for urban rails for 2 years and they sent me 03's (spinks knows how shitty they were)

if you send them in they will likley send you new ones,

 
My skogans broke too. About 2 weeks of using them.

Same deal, delamming under the boot from riding pipe. They wont replace them for me now because i spent the rest of the year on them and slid a bunch of rails.

I'm big too, 6', 185lbs. I'm never buying Line's again.

i had the same problem with the 01-02 1260's delaming under the boot and seperating from the edge.. i called 888 LINE SKI and talk to kim or katie and tell them you wanna warranty your skis and DONT and i mean DONT tell them you grind rails b/c that supposedly breaks the warranty policy.. i shipped my skis out today and i should get them back by wed of next week.. b/c mi have camp

ok katie helped me with my frist pair, and then i talked to kim yesterday, and FUCK I TOLD THEM I DID BARELY. But i think i am already screwed because it is delamming under the boot and the edge is cracked where you would grind, so even if i say i don't grind, my ski sure does.

they prob delammed under the boot from riding pipe because of the extreme flex right under the boot that goes on in the pipe on a ski. excessive pipe riding will prob screw up any ski. and yeah your size could be a factor cuz im 6 foot 135 and ive had the 00/01 skogens since they came out and iv had no troubles, i took a small chunk out of my tail from bailing on a 5 but other than that they are great.

the ones i sent were missing like 2 feet of edge and the base was peeled back on the other ski, they were fucked up and they still sent me new ones

 
i hate line.... period.... ive got to the point with jason that he doesnt reply to my emails he just replys with the phone number.... no hi or bye just the phone number....

jay seems to be a dickhead from what people on this site know from personal experience. whats up with that? everybody else at line is super nice. on the website everything makes him look so cocky too. especially binding Q and A read the end of that and it makes him look like the biggest deuch.

back to the original post. this came to me today in english class when i was daydreaming. if you have marker bindings on those skiis its prob why they delam under the boot from riding pipe. marker bindings dont have any elastic travel which allows your boot to move up and down side to side, your just locked in, in one spot. so say your ski takes a big flex right in the middle your boot isnt going to slide slightly up in your binding relieveng the stress on the middle of the ski. its just gonna remain in the same spot and create a really solid fulcrum for the middle of your ski to flex on. heres an example. take a piece of spaghetti and lay it flat on something at least an inch wide. then press down on the two ends of the spaghetti and it will most likely snap right in the middle. your ski wasnt flexing a lot right under your boot when it should have been and immense pressure were applied there. this could account for the sepration beneath the boot. if you didnt have marker bindings on your skiis then i just completely wasted my time cuz all other bindings have elastic travel to my knowledge.

not mostly, but yeah. And i got them last year, when I was about 5'9'', but they were 160 dollars so they were a good deal.

as for it being the 4 screw shit now i think thats gonna correct a lot of the delamination under the boot b/c the full length of the binding wont be connected just that part which will allow the ski to flex almost free.. if they were really smart they should make shit like salomon's pilot technology or even salomon put the pilot system on the 1080 to try it out.. b/c now theres a space frame pilot.. but not a spaceframe pilot 1080.. anyone think this woulod be cool?

I have 01 02 skogans and they have started to delam, but I know somepeople with them who ride rails more than i do and theirs are fine. i think some delam really easily and some do not

if your skiis were made on a wednesday then they are the best you can get. cuz mondays people are lazy, tuesday people are gettin there, wednesday people are motivated, thursday its gettin to the end of the week so the motivation goes down, friday people get super lazy cuz they jus wana leave. i think this accounts for 'good' and 'bad' batchesof LINE's skis. they are a small company run by mainly people in there 20's and 30's they just wanna ski and party a lot and not make skiis all day.
