i was planning on getting a pair of 179 seth pistols, but i can get these skis for about $100 cheaper. i was wondering if anyone has skied on them yet and what they think of them? Also, are the newer line more durable? my last pairs, the red dragons and the skogans broke in a few days, and even these do i'll be pissed, even with line's warranty.

they are damn sexy skis, i just saw a pair yesterday when i was skiing Marquette, MI. i almost creamed myself looking at them, and they're huge skis, i wanted them. if i had the $, i would buy them.

ya theyre nice and ride really nice even on groomers, the only thing i don't like is that they only come in a 188, if it was around a 180 or slightly less that would be sweeet but ohwell, either way they're fun

Pollard's aren't that big... Line measures they're skis weird. I measured my 182 darksides at 178 cm tip to tail... so the Pollards are probably like 182-183. Good size.

maybe they measure without the tips turned up?? could be a possibility

ther's two ways companies size skis; they either measure the linear length, or they measure the whole ski length, including the curve of the tip/tail. line probably does that. k2 is a company the measures linear length. i like that way better.

you're going to need to tell us what it is you want to ride for us to help you with this question. the two skis are designed for different things

basically i ride everything, but these skis would be used on basically all my skier days that are non-park days. lots of trees, cliffs, powder, some open stuff, like vail back bowls. i think i'll probably end up with the SP, but i just wanted to see want anyone had to say about the pollard.

Either of those skis would kick ass though. Can't go wrong with seth pistols.

Pollards = insanly sick !! Yes its a 186cm ski but then the running surface is only like 170cm because the tips are flared up huge

it isn't an issue of size, but durability. the 186 is a better size for me, 5'10' 175, but i'm sick of my skis breaking. I also ski a 185 igneous fat that is super stiff so i know the length wouldn't even be an issue.

i had 3 pairs of lines delam over 2 seasons. it's not that rare.

i hope they've gotten better with that.

yeah they've gotten much better

'you should probably get bindings or it will be hard to stay on your skis...don't get gloves tho, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm' -221

whys it dumb when somebody 6 foot rides a 175? because they dont want to go back country dragging a 189? im 6'1 and i ski 179 fujatives.. because maybe thats the biggest size they come in?

^^i don;t even know who said that and who you are talking to, but mainly it's just cuz you won't get the floataion and stability you need

i ended up getting the seth pistols, and they weren't too much more, only $65. they're going to be so sick.
