Line Opus durability?

Thinking of the line opus for this year, just wondering how durable it is (edges, base topsheets and such)

other skis im thinking of are this years jjs or caylor lites. if anyone has ridden it for an extended period of time help would be much appreciated!

No ones ridden it for that long...maybe pollard....had mine since sprung and rode them in total shit conditions and I don't even have a chip or base scratch yet.

what about just line durability in general? i know like afterbangs and all their cheap/ extruded base skis suck in this aspect but idk about the pollard and higher end models

i have used line chronic cryptos for 2 years with around 100 days of riding them pretty hard and the only problems ive had are some core shots that were my fault and some top sheet chipping(thats gonna happen with any ski) IMO line durablity is pretty good

line = legendary durability. i have had more lines than i can count, and never had a problem.

Oh yeah line in general has great durability. I still have a set of '10 cryptos that I beat the crap out of and they're in stellar condition still and to my surprise the bases aren't railed at all. The more top end lines like the opus, bacons are even better quality. Thing with the A-bangers is they're made as an inexpensive disposable ski on purpose. For what they are the durability is still decent. See line looked at how the park scene was evolving and realized kids were paying top dollar for skis that they would beat the heck out of and end up having to replace them after a season. So they figured why not make a really inexpensive ski that the hardcore park rats wouldn't mind destroying and replacing as needed. Again though for what it is IMO it still holds up pretty decent but to try to compare it to the opus is like apples and oranges. You can't even fairly compare the A-banger to the chronics in that regard. Pretty much the only other ski I would say could surpass the opus/bacons quality-wise would be the on3ps. But that's because on3p prides themselves on being top quality and it's what they're known for. And just another example, I have last years bacons and I rode those things for everything. Park, backcountry, shitty spring-exposed rock backcountry, tree grinds, and even the occasional park rail. Def hit a bunch of park boxes on em too and they're fine. They've actually held up much better than I anticipated with only a few minor tip chips(which is expected with any ski you ride hard) and one core shot giant wood splinter from a tree grind but that was my fault. So you will be fine.

Oh yeah...haha....I have an even better example. Just walked into my garage and realized I still have a pair of mike nick pros from like 04 I think and they're in even better condition than my cryptos. I beat the dog piss outta those too. Minimal topsheet chipping. If that's not a testament to quality I don't know what is. Totally forgot about those skis....haha.... May have to take those bad boys through a few park laps this season and knock the rust off the edges!

And before anyone asks....haha....there's no way I'm selling those mike nicks. Or my bacons or my opus ever never ever. I sold my og lizzies and still kick myself for that.

I'll be riding these this season, they're still in great condition. No core shots/huge base problems, no edge missing, no delams, topsheets in are decent condition although that's dependent on how much you hit your skis together.

Dude I wish. Ain't in the cards for me right now but thanks. I'm still tryin to figure out how to get this years bacons cheap. They're a real limited run this year. Lines already totally sold out and once the retailers sell out that's it. Keep hearin how sick a ski it is but I can't justify it after already gettin the opus.....unless of course there's a rep that will part with a set for super cheap.....haha. Fat chance right? May have to sell a mountain bike dammit. Lmao

You'll dig em for sure. Jus wait till the first time you run em down a groomer. Instant snowboner guaranteed! Your not gonna believe how versatile a ski it is. Best of luck!
