Line needs to make LONGER skis!

Why doesn't Line make their skis longer? In particular the Chronics and Invaders. Seriously, I want to buy next years Chronics but I can't unless they come out with atleast a 182.

LINE MAKE EM LONGER!

Anyone else feel this way?

IF you want longer from line, i think you're stuck with prophet 90 and up. But yeah, they should go longer with chronic and the blend.

A good call for all the tall people out there. Whatever happened to the Ostness Dragon? A 192 park ski, now that is rocking.

OH NO 4 CM TOO SHORT!! Seriously if someone told you they were 182's you would never notice.

Everybody thinks they need to ski skis that are 9" taller than them or something.

Noooo....but a center mounted park ski that's under 180cm (at least for someone as tall as I am) can feel a little short and squirrely...

actually pretty soon im going to be at the point where only powder skis will be tall enough for me. not cause i want to be like thall and use big skis, but because i need a longer ski. im tall.

those were the wides. but yeah, good call on the sidecut, hopefully they do produce longer skis though..

I'm 6'3 and I think Line's 178-182 is fine. Yeah.. they could be a little longer, but ehh..

and like someone said before the chronic will come in a 181 and the blend in a 186 next year.

Ohh cash so the new chronic will come in 181. That makes me happy because the new ones look sweet.

O and I am 6'3 so I do need the long sticks to whoever was wondering.

you're so right! If I dont have that extra 1 cm on the tip and tail I'm totally out of control!!!

And the guy I heard this from may have had it backwards, but doesn't line measure the running surface only?

HA! nice one smartass, but are you 6'4" or so? I'm just saying there should be the option for a ski over 180 if I damn well want to buy it. Line doesn't measure running surface, they measure tip-to-tail and somehow they usually measure shorter than other companys twin tips as well.

1'm 6'3'' too and i ride fuji's that are 179 and you notice nothing between that and a 182. just mount back and they'll be good.

i had some pollards that were 187 that were sick. i liked those a lot. i still have them.

That's because a 179 K2 IS more like a 182, K2 measures running surface and all the twin tips they make run a few CM longer than they say.

well if you say you are willing to buy 180... I gurantee if you get two skis that are actually exactly 2 cms different you wont be able ot tell the difference. and if you're 6'4'' I'd think you'd be looking for more like 185+ anyway.

K2 measures from the front tip to the end of the running surface, which kind of makes sense. My 189 Pistols measure 194cm, but they're still worthless noodles. That ski would kick ass if it was about 5X stiffer and was 5cm wider. Which would make it a different ski entirely.

And about the ski length thing: park guys want short skis because they're easier to spin with and better for park, people who ride the rest of the mountain want longer skis for stability.

I actually said a ski longer than 180 (read: mid-high 180 bracket) I'd be all for a 185-ish Anthem, but my point was that it should be an option if I want to buy it, alot of people use 185 ARV's for park, so there are people who would buy a longer park ski, that's all. I don't NEED it, I could ride a 178 park ski, but if I want to ride a 185 or what-have-you, then I should be able to.

I agree! I'm 6'3 200 and I have no problem with my 189 kung fujas. I would buy line if they came out with some longer skis. When I center mount the fujas's I have I little extra tip and tail and the stability is unreal! I'm a big fan of longer park skis!

yo im 6"6" and ride the 178 anthems. they may seem a tad short but they still do wonders.
I do wish though that I did have a bit longer of an option.
