Line mr pollard opus vs atomic bent chetler vs k2 pettitor vs whatever else

I'm 16, 170 pounds, 6'2" advanced level 3/3+ skier and I ski mostly at Alpental ~25 days/yr and Crystal ~5 days/yr. I spend 90% of my time skiing steeps and cliffs and occasionally make it over to the park.

Currently I'm on a pair of k2 apache recons (sad, I know) and I just bought a pair of k2 kung fujas. I'm looking for a pair of powder boards, and I want something that's really playful (butters) but is also a crud buster. I demoed the Line MPOs in 192 and I really liked the playfulness of those, but I think I want something a tiny bit better in the crud.

I don't spend a ton of time skiing switch, so I'm open for something with less tail rocker like the armada norwalk (which doesn't have any, I know) or atomic automatic. Any preferences?

bentchetlers all the way, 192. Im similar weight and height and they are amazing all over the mtn. Even amazing carving on hardpacked which was suprising, chatter a bit but hold an edge great.

i just bought 189 pettitors and i'm coming off 183 bent chetlers. i was looking for a more playful ski than i think you're looking for, and from what i've been told, the opus skis very similarly to the pettitor. since that's the case, i'd go for the on3p caylor, which i've heard absolutely slays. i was close to going for it, but it's a little stiffer than i wanted.

From experience they're plenty playful when you want them to be ... I'd call the swing weight average.

they were a great ski, don't get me wrong, but i wanted something that skied longer and had a bit more sidecut than the 192 bent chetler since the widest part of the ski is pretty far back from the tip. my top three at that point were the opus, pettitor, and caylor, but i went with the pettitor over the caylor because it was softer. i had no particular reason to go for the pettitor over the opus, but i just went for it and i'm happy.

Sounds like you have the exact same feelings as me. I tried out the pettitors and the opuses and liked the feeling of the pettitors a little more. I've seen some k2 obsethed around for pretty cheap, how do those compare to the pettitor?

i've never ridden the obsethed, but i'm pretty sure it's a little more directional than the pettitor. i can't speak on its flex though.

We've all given you advice And personal reviews. If your still looking for more information, I'd advise taking a Look at longer independent reviews from guys Like blister gear

If you don't really need a twin take a look at on3p's billygoat unless its a bit skinny at under 120 underfoot

SIR FRANCIS BAAACOOOON. Also out of the ones your talking about in the thread get the caylors.. obsethed suck at carving and they are the floppiest ski i have ever skied on. The Opus is more versatile than the bentchetlers and much more playful.. IMO... but you should really consider the bacons... they are wetttt.
