ok so the new line motherships it says something about it being a backcountry freestyle ski. but its demonsions are only 120 / 90 / 110 wich seem to be about 10 mm wider than a park ski. that makes me think that they wont float that well. so what are your thoughts?

last years pocket rockets, scratch bc, stomp, madtrix mojo, armada arv, msp all skis with 90 mm under foot or close to it and all backcountry freestyle

i am a little guy and i have the mother ship flites(162length) and for me the ski floats really well and can still handle anything else on the mountain.

90 is plenty to float.

85 on the fujatives floats alright.

130 on prophets is pretty much just for show, there's no need to get a ski that fat, except for the fun of it.

yeah i had them and they float well.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
 
No point? I disagree. Skiings funny that way. People saying"Those skis are too fat, those skis are too long those skis are too skinny." Who cares. Saying there is no point to getting prophets is a good way to get ripped on. I remember having some pocket rockets for two weeks the year before they came out. So many "you don't need those comments." Now the PR is considered small.

Who cares what skis are out there, just support all aspects of skiing.
