Line Mike Nick or not Line Mike Nick

Hi, I´m from Germany and I want to have a Twin Tip

with backcountry ability (and mogul slope too :-)) ). First thougt is to have the Line Mike Nick but here in Europe it´s difficult to get (only in UK but what I´ve sawn, the prize sucks)

So I thought to buy in USA / CA via ebay. Can anyone tell me if the Ski is worth that all or just buy a K2 or others.

cya

same as what the previous guy said, i think the mike nick might be a little too small for bc. and welcome to the site Mirk. Look at MSP, armada (both perhaps pricy) the eric pollard pros, K2's, and if you are worried about prices, go for last years models. I dunno if you can get a pro form over in germany

Not wearing poles is alot like getting a blowjob from a guy...It feels good until you look down and realize you're gay. - skimack

-If people don't want 'Posers' in their sport they should quit skiing and take up knitting. I highly doubt that anyone 'Poses' as a knitter. -Jibtech

Yah, this years would be fine for BC use (86mm waist).

better to burn out...

...then fade away

Overseas, it's almost nonsensical to spend the extra money just so you can have a trendy north american ski. Head Mad trix Mojos and Rossignol Scratch BCs are two of the best fat skis you can get on either side of the pond (the former is stiff, the latter soft, so whatever your preference, you're covered). Both should be reasonably priced over there, since they're Euro brands. Alternatively, if you're dead-set on staying away from the mainstream brands, get Faction 3Zeros or Faction Thirteens. They can be seen at www.factionskis.com, and they ship from Switzerland, so you don't have to deal with those transatlantic shipping charges. They'll cost you in the range of 500 euros, but you'd be paying at least as much to ship Armadas or 4Frnts over there, and Factions are made of higher quality materials. Besides, if you want a core brand, you're gonna pay more. Up to you.

Troublemakers by dynastar would fit what you are looking for.

JD may, look at his writing then look at yours - how can you expect him to make head or tail of that.

...lot´s of suggestion here, and know im totally confused...

maybe, I have to wait till Winter and try in the Alps some Ski, last season I´d tried a Salomon and Rossingnol TwinTip (at a Rental Station, KickingHorse CA) but they were shitty at all, don´t know the Type already.

I´d like to have a really stiff one. In Percent I ride 50% moguls 25% Park and 25% BC. Already have a non Twin Tip with about 70mm waist from Dynastar which is not bad, but didn´t make such fun as a TwinTip

thx to all for their replys

yea id say some troublemakers... but they dont hold up THAT well on rails thats the only problem i find with dynastar... but i think that would be the best ski for you... there amazing everywhere else tho... if dynastar fixed the edge cracking then i'd go with dynastar again but my next ski is gonna be the armada t hall pro cause all i ski is park and i hear they hold up well...

no, did you guys read his post? he wants a wider ski. the TM is almost as skinny as what he has now. if you want a stiff, wide twintip, the head mad trix mojo if definatly your best bet. It is an awesome ski, and super durable. i would highly recomend it.

the mike nicks would be fine. 86 is a good size waist. if you want something a little more powder orientated i'd look at something fatter like the ARV or mad_trix mojo.

idk, overseas, it might be cheaper to pay the extra shipping and get the lines! serously, the guy at Faction was saying that their skis are priced so much cheaper for North America then Europe. skis sell for more in Europe.
