Mavericks is not too bad for all around skis for low-budgeted skiers. My friend have one, their tail got great pop. There's always bunch of em selling on EBAY for about $100. I wouldnt pay more than $250 for new/used pair of Mavericks.

dont give mavericks that bad of a rap. I know some kids that ride them and love them. It still is a twin tip, even more so then the concepts/ememys of old. they still sold retail as much as the 1260, its just a little different ski

I LOVE MY MAVERICS!!! I really do. im not joking. There tail is lower but there awsome. I did break mine tho, but it happend undershooting an 80fter, so what can you expect. Im not saying you should get them but personaly, i love mine even though they broke. And there not bad at all in the park.

Yes, go for Mavericks if you want a cheap all around skis that can handle most terrains.

I have them they aren't pure crap but they are pretty stiff, they are really mogul skis, but they are good for all mountain.
