Hey, I posted a thread like this last year but i have grown a lot and want someones opinion.

I am looking at the masterminds or a bangs. I was wondering which one would be a good fit for me

I am about 5'5 115 lbs. I have had like 2 full years of park expieriance, so im not really a "begginer"

But i am looking for a really really soft playful ski. and since im only like 115 lbs i dont know if i will be able to flex the a bangs to their full extent.

I appreciate all the help

I will bump anyone who posts

I like line cause they are cheap, and im not done growing (hopefully) So i wont a nice price point ski that i can beat to shit until next season.

Line skis are great except the ones you're looking for. The afterbangs always seem to break or have some issue. Spend some time looking around use a ski finder, talk to a manufacture, look for some used skis if you want cheap stuff.

the traveling circus/anthem could be an option to look into also.

i haven't skied and of line's park skis so i have no opinions. one of my friends has afterbangs. says they're a fun ski, but heavy as shit.

I skied the Anthems the past two years (Now the TC ski). Loved them! good flex nice and symmetrical great for butters and there really light. 171 sounds like it might be prime for you and i had them two years and not even an edge ding, some ptexing but thats just skiing. They don't run to expensive either. Highly recommend them

171 for 115 lbs? you high? not to mention the skis will be taller than he is.

you should be looking in the mid 160's as far as length goes, but i will recommend the TC/Anthem, a ski that was so beloved they brought it back a few years after it's death.

k2 domains would also be good.

well thats just me i suppose, i like to ride a longer ski so for me at that height thats what i would have ridden. depends on what you like to ride.

if you want a soft price point ski, id say look at the k2 press. you could probably find a really good deal on last years

I have the masterminds and there light and very poppy and perform pretty good out of the park as well if you're looking for a really playful park and all mountain ski id go with the masterminds

you're seriously an idiot if you think afterbangs get waterlogged.

here's the deal... you get what you fucking pay for, afterbangs which are a price point ski for beginners, aren't designed to hold up to the abuse that more seasoned skiers will throw at them. just like the invader before them, they eventually break after so long. it's just the way it is, if you want a more durable ski, fork over the extra couple hundred bucks and get a more durable ski ie. chronics.
