here is another thread (its part 2 of my other one) about line kicking ass. I got warrentied skis from them and i sent in the 153's (i bot them for 180 because they were blemished) and so they de'lamed' and so they sent me bradn new this year 1260's size 153... well i thot they would be sending me last years wich were 164 only so i called them and they sent me 164 1260s brand new WITH OVER NIGHT SHIPPING!! AND GET THIS all they said on the phone was 'all i need from u is ur werd u will send the other ones we sent to you back (the other 1260's size 153 that i didnt want cuz i wanted bigger ones) WHHEHEWW line kicks ass

agreed, line is a very kickass company...and if any of you say line sucks i have one criteria...dont say it if you haven't ridden them cuz if you do your opinion sucks anyways.

Ummm yeah, so line is a chill company and all and thats dope how they treat you, and i guess that is one reason why people keep going back to them. However, their skis are rather noodleish and built somewhat cheaper than other brands, and this is one of the reasons why they can afford to warrenty everything.

I will also agree that their service is top notch, but they should build some stronger skis.

agreed with the stronger skis but ya know what, my old 00/01 skogens are still holdind up. only a little nick in the edge in the tail from eating it on a rail. but then again my buddy got brand new 1260's for the season and his delamed, but he kinda sucks and falls a lot, like almost every jump and rail. ive ridden line my whole freestyle life and will continue too. jay is a cool guy too, i sent him a concept for a replaceable edge underfoot so grinding doesnt trash your skis and you know what he said? he said hes probabaly gonna test it up at mount hood this summer. i dont know any other ski companies who would take the time to test an idea for a new product, let alone even read the mail they get. so all you line bashers need to stop unless you really know what your talking about.

i have to call them back cause my demo darkside that i got broke like 3 weeks before thier warrenty ended and they didn't have anyskis or anything right then sooo hopefully ill get free skis or a big discount.

hey dr. phil could be right, mabye they are making them for next season. but it just sounds too unrealistic to me. check it out. Line is known for its newschool products, they are the original innovaters and are associated with newschool. the typical recreational family skier wouldnt know the first thing about Line, they wouldnt even know the company exsists. so why would Line make a non twin tipped ski designed specifically for women? if i had to guees id say that 90 percent of women skiers dont know what Line is so thats a great 10 percent market. then the girls that do know about Line probably aren't going to buy the ski because there are much better ones out there made by the big names that are more reliable and have a better reputation. (not that Line has a bad rep but on a downhill non twin tipped ski id be a litle wary as well.) and to top it off supposedly they are made by blizzard. thats even more out of focus. why would Line pay some shitty company that hasnt made a decent ski in years to make blank skis so Line can put some gay graphics on them. does this sound like Line to you? what is Line known for? sick graphics, every one of there skis graphics are just dope. so if you really look at the big picture it just doesnt make any sense for Line to go and make that ski. if they are then god help them because they are really just losing touch of the sport. and if they are trying to make more money by making these skis well then god help them again cuz not too many people are gonna buy them i can tell you that right now.

Okay, to clarify a few things... Line is making women's carving skis next year. Whoo hoo. Guess who else makes carving skis? Hmmm, Rossi, K2, Volkl, Dynastar, Elan, Fischer, Salomon... just to name a few. Line has a big market in Japan and is trying to make the most of it. Mainstream ski companies all started from the mainstream, and have their little newschool branches that account for a tiny, tiny amount of their business. Line's just working from the other direction, because it's almost impossible for any company to survive solely on newschool sales. I don't see the problem with Line releasing carving skis... show me a Salomon rider who is offended by the fact that Salomon has carving skis.

And as for Line's durability, all I can say is give it time. I've ridden Line for three years, and every year they've been better. I can't wait for next year's skis.

line IS making a non twin tipped ski. there making like two different pairs, and no its not just for women. also i have tested these skis and they arnt all that bad. i think they would be great for someone that likes to carve. if thats there style then so be it. we're all trying to have fun right? so let the companies build what they want to build and let the people ride what they want to ride. its none of our business to decide what they should or shouldnt do. skiing is about having fun. so have fun. even if your on a 'non' twin tipped ski. doesnt make a difference to me. its still skiing isnt it?

yeah good point guys skiing is skiing. it just kind of annoys me cuz line was always a core company and stuck true to newschool. but if they have that huge market in japan then groovy for them cuz then they can make more money and make better shit. and someday make their binding worth the crazy price.

yah, i saw a couple pairs of non-twin tip Line skis at D-Structure the other day, and i was super surprised, i guess that they already got a few pairs of next years stock

well, someone prolly already said this, but here it is again. They are prolly just makin the carving skis so they can improve there twins.

 
Line may have a good warrenty system in the States, but in Canada they are AWEFUL!!!

I had mine start to delamm after 2 weeks, and they would not warrenty them.

NMK Line probabaly isn't going warrent your skis because the delaming isnt that bad and they are still ridable. 90 percent of all delaming occurs in the tips and tails of skis where contact with snow doesnt even occur. so unless your base or core is falling out of your ski or your core starts to warp from moisture they wont give you the warrenty. no company will. its just not practical for them to warrent a ski that is still usable for a considerable amount of time. ride them to shit and they will mos def fulfill the warrenty.

line skis ride alright.... they run a good company and a good warrenty for folks in the states..... there skis dont hold up at all.... it was my first year on twins and i didnt ride too hard.... but my skis delammed and chipped and cracked and they were pretty much fucked but according to jay lev they were cosmetic and the fact that my skis are breaking into tiny peices wont effect my riding....... so line can smoke my hog and i will never but anything from them again.....

line 1260's are allright, but christ if you stick up for your ski that much... get a life soooo many skis are better than line, but line is pretty inexpensive.

i got some skogens for dirt cheap and they are fun, they are older lines, and they hold up pretty well, line does have a problem with delam but they are still a fairly solid company, i hate there new skiis though i think they are gay. what the hell is up with them making darksides carving skiis that is so homosexual, they have no tail it's weak. And now they are gonna make blizzard carving skiis cause that bought out that company and took there press and stuff. Hello there is a reason why blizzard went out of buisenness its because there skiis suck ass. I dunno if this post makes any sense because i'm on vicodin right now because i got my wisdom teeth pulled yestarday so best luck understanding this.

Carving skis are homosexual? Or Line is homosexual for making carving skis? Or the Darkside is homosexual for becoming a non-twin? I don't get it.

Although I gotta admit that the Darkside was a sick ski before it lost its tail... but they got the EP Pro and the Mothership to shore up the all-mountain category, so I guess it was a good strategic move.
