I ski about 70% park and 30% all mountain and a little back country throughout the year.

I was wondering what you all think would be a good ski for my preferences, durability and price?

I would get any of the skis in the 170-180cm range respectively,

Line Invaders vs. Volkl Walls vs. Surface Watch Lifes

I'd say watch lifes or volkls. Invaders would just be stupid to get unless you're gonna ski them 95 to 100 percent park.

what do you like in a ski? narrow or wide? short or long turning radius? stiff or soft flex? think about some characteristics you like in a ski and it suddenly becomes apparent which ski you'd like the best. besides the fact that they're both true twin, the wall and invader dont have very much in common at all.

good questions, I probably should have already addressed them. I prefer a wider ski, but don't want anything too wide, turning radius depends on the day, but most likely short turning radius, and i like a softer flex but one that isn't going to handle like a "floppy weiner,"

well i bought invaders today they look liek they are going to be alot of fun. I was looking for soemthing that I could really butter with. I was goign to get the walls but they were too expensive.

go with a compant thats been out for a longer time

so im saying go for the walls or lines.

my friend has the walls i skied them and their sick, sick graphics too

invaders sick graphics their noodles tho

forget surface, there a new ski ocmpany let them make more skis with more experience

i dont know why people dont think invaders can perform on groomers, mine are fine, they just get a little chattery over crud bumpy sections

walls are symetrical and will be centre mounted.

invaders are just invaders, only want them for pure park.

the watch life's seem liek a perfect medium, not to mention a gajillion bucks cheaper that the walls.

my watch lifes are skiing like a dream they are the perfect amount of flex, right width and overall feel amazing. personal opinion but thats what I would choose

i would go for invaders. medium waist, quick turning radius (16m in the 178) and they actually are really fun to ski on groomers because of the short turning radius. obviously they arent great in pow, but true twins inherently are not, since the wide tails makes them want to ride flat instead of having the tails sunk. my invaders only really got sketchy on me bombing east coast double blacks when they werent groomed to perfection, other than that, they're a really fun, cheap, forgiving ski that's surprisingly capable.

hypothetically saying all skis were $350... and I wanted a ski that wasn't really stiff, medium turning radius and a 70% park 30% all mountain ski which would you chose and why?

invaders. they fit your criteria. all mountain for you is northeast all mountain, so you're not getting pow every day with the opportunity to hit cliffs and pillows etc. the majority of your all mountain skiing will be groomers and trees, right? in which case, invaders work well. i dont know much about the watch lifes, but the walls definitely have a longer turning radius than the invaders.

if you can't get with the program and realize this thread is VERY old before you bump it then give up life itself..
