I am looking for a really fun pair of skis that I can flex around a lot in and out ofthe park. Something that will let me ollie over shit and just have fun. I am also on a tight budget so I am thinking of buying a pair of invaders. Considering that they are only 299$ which is an unbeatable price and that I live on he east coast, is it worth it? I heard they are really undurable and break really easy due to the butter zone. Is all that true? If you think it isnt worth it what kindof skis should i go for? Im thinking the salomon thruster although they're way more expensive.

my vaders have been a great ski, and i've only had a problems with the lamenation (on 07s), i love the ski, a lot of pop and actually handle pretty well outside park...

i got surface watch lives this year, and they are really fun and poppy, the edges and base seem pretty bomber but the topsheet is chipping off. still won't break the bank too badly ($350ish)

The delam issue and durability was only in 05/06. They got a lot better for 06/07, then apparently they're nearly bombproof this year(07/08).

Definitely worth bothering with.

I have 06/07 Invaders and I like them very much. The only performance issue I have is with the soft tails - you need to stomp big airs as it is pretty easy to wash out if you get a bit backseat. Apart from that, I love them in the pipe, in the air and on rails. They are a great value in a park ski.

Buy them with confidence.
