Through a friend i am going to get a pair of 06/07 171 line invaders, i was just wondering how they were and if they are centered mounted if they can be back mounted -1 with have to fill holes.
Are you saying that your friend is giving you a pair he had that were used/mounted and you want to mount them -1 cm back? Considering they're symmetrical it would just feel wierd since the middle of the turning radius would then be in front of the center of body weight. Depending on his BSL, you probably wont have to mount your bindings elsewhere..
The ski doesn't exactly define how well you'll do in either. I had a pair of invaders a couple seasons ago, and I took them everywhere. It just depends on how much you're willing to work your body to get some floatation, as well as how much effort you put into your turns in the trees. Its hard, but you can manage. It just wont be as easy as something like prophets or bacons
i have last years invaders. 100% symmetrics so why mount them farther back? its a pure jib ski not designed at all for trees or pow, mounting them back would ruin the design and make the ski feel weird. also the butter zones will make them to flexy to handle anything else. if you want to ride off-piste id just reccomend investing in some lizzes or bacons. those will get the pow done
dude im not worried about children losing limbs, in ohio the closet thing to a tree we have is literally the lift poles, but watch out for mice, those bastards will eat your eyes out, im a lift operater and ive been attacked twice this year by them
