hi,

i'm looking for a new pair of skies. i have these two in mind because i can get them for a good price. the 08 line invaders and the fischeraddict 09. i picked these because i'm looking for a good park ski wich carves well on groomers and can ski some powder. if anyone has experience with one or bothe of these skies let me know or if you knowa good alternative.

how deep of powder? cause you cant really ski powder with invaders. i don't know anything about the Addicts but i have invaders and they are a really soft park ski. although they aren't really made for big jumps they hold up pretty well on them. they hold up great on rails and are extremely light. there really fun and i suggest getting them unless you plan on skiing a lot of powder.

from what i've heard invaders are really soft and addicts are pretty stiff

and any ski can "ski powder". but there are certain skis that are made to ski powder, there is a very big difference

thanks for your replys. if you forget about the powder part, wich ski would be the best choice. and can anyone tell me something about the addict how they are in the park and on the groomers.

I ski on the addicts now and they are a solid all mountain ski especially for being symmetrical and center mounted. they are kinda difficult in pow since you are center mounted but i took them out to utah earlier this year and they werent too big of problem. however these skis are much different from invaders since they are really pretty stiff. I love my addicts though the only thing is they topsheets chip like crazy.

The invaders a a symmetrical ski so they are good for jibbing around the hill and sliding metal but they are really soft and wouldn't be able to go into deep pow. The addicts are at symmetrical ski as well but are stiffer and would hold up on bigger jumps where as the invaders wouldn't be able to. It pretty much depends on if you want a softer more playful ski or a stiffer ski which you could take more places and hit bigger jumps.

For the alternative ski i might take a look at the Line Anthem because they are pretty much a wider invader and a bit stiffer. You could take this into some trees and so pow and be okay I think. If you think about it, its just more platform to land on underfoot.

unfortunately i don't have the monney for the anthem.

so the addict is stiffer and the invader is softer but does this only shows when your doing big jumps of also witch grinding and going fast on the groomers and is the volkl wall 08 maybe a better choice?

can anyone explain to me when its better to have a stiffer ski and when a softer on groomers, rails and jumps. and someone said i shouldn't take fischer i would like to know why. and finally is the volkl wall maybe a better option then the addict and invader?

a soft ski wont hold up good at high speeds cause it will wobble and shit and you will feel every little bump. a stiffer ski just blows over everything making going fast a smoother ride and therefore hitting bigger jumps. and on landings a stiffer ski will be more forgiving on rough landings where a ski wont do that.

they are both symmetrical park skis that are meant to be center mounted. If you want even a little performance in pow look at a different ski. i have addicts and they are great in the park, i prefer them over an invader because they come in a longer length and they are stiffer so they can handle the big jumps and high speeds.
