Line EP pro model VS. K2 heli-bent

toxic

OK so I'm kind of torn between these two. Haven't tried either and none of the shops in this town have them as demos. Tilting slightly towards the EP, just because the design is sick and they don't seem all as flexy as the K2's.

Could anybody that have tried them give their POV's? I'll be using them mostly to shred pow, drop cliffs and the occasional bc-kicker...

ep=noodle

bent=slightly stiffer noodle

so if you want maybe a bit more versatility, go with the bents...

Alright I just barely touched them in different stores my bad. So any hints how to either one skis? How they steer? WIll the EP throw you right on your ass or what?

ive heard they are both amazing. Ep pro is much softer and a little wider to so definetly go for the bents if you want a little more versitility. although in the promo vid on line website pollard says the elliptcal side cut helps a bit on the hard pack.

Not when I compared them side-by-side...the amount of rocker actually seemed EXACTLY the same...like they were made in the same press with different core profiles...that's how close they were.

they ski pretty much just the same, but a little bit more noodly with the ep's

I would personally take neither, but its up to you.

(cough-go with moment-cough)

I think you guys are very confused about making skis. A press pushes the 'lasagna like layers' of a ski together under immense pressure and heat. You could make 5,000 different skis out the same press.
Skis differ due to the tooling, two large metal plates that enclose the ski you are about to create. These determine the sidecut, width, etc. when paired with prefabricated pieces to fit said tooling, such as core, base, edges,etc.

The EP Pro and HellBent are made in separate areas of the factory. They don't share presses nor do they share the same tooling.

oh word, i don't know anything about making skis, i was just trying to say that they have very similar camber and rise in similar areas on the tip and tail

I have rode both skis. I would say if you weight more than 200+ go with the longer HBs, but if you lighter go with the EPs. The EP are super soft and playful, whereas the HBs are not as soft but definitely fun too. Both sick skis

throw the moment melees into the mix here... and they would dominate.

a little stiffer than the EP pro, but symmetrical, and really light. Only come in a size 186, but they ski like a 176 because of the rocker.. so take your pick.

i rode my friends melees and they can actually rip the soft groomers deff a super sick ski and there cheaper but you have to wait till the 09's come out
